Watch This Hardworking Latino Do His Job As An Angry Trump Supporter Yells At Him

This man first was making fun of my clients while we were sitting at McDonald’s, and now he’s purposefully throwing his trash on the floor and telling the Hispanic worker to go back to Mexico! I seriously couldn’t believe this. What is this world coming too ????

Your racism is showing, America.

The video above is short, but it says so much. An angry, white old man wearing a Trump shirt is yelling at a Latino worker at a McDonald’s. “Go back to Mexico!” the Trump supporter spews. And how does the employee respond? By doing his job.

Ang Hernandez, a 25-year-old from Emporia, Kansas, who works with developmentally disabled adults, uploaded the above clip to Facebook to bring attention to the encounter. According to Hernandez, the unidentified Trump supporter was purposefully throwing napkins on the floor.

“I wanted others to see that this is happening in our own town,” Hernandez told Mitú in a phone interview. Hernandez says that this is the first time she’s truly witnessed such a blatant display of racism in her town, which she claims is diverse because of Emporia State University, the local public college. The rising popularity of Donald Trump however, has changed that.

“I think the way Donald Trump is speaking about Mexicans has made it easier for people to believe that we are the problem,” added Hernandez, who’s Mexican-American. She’s not wrong. The GOP frontrunner’s rallies have turned violent here and there, and Trump supporters have invoked his name while assaulting non-white people.

But the short clip is more than just about highlighting an example of Trump-inspired racism. Hernandez said that she also wanted to highlight how the McDonald’s worker reacted to the incident.

“The worker didn’t respond and just smiled,” she noted. “At one point, he started dancing with his broom. I wanted to show how good of a person he was. It truly showed his character.”

An Abuelo Got A Hurtful Note From Bad Neighbors About His Decorations And Latino Twitter Came Into Comfort Him

@goldenstef / Twitter

We are rarely more defensive than we are for our abuelos. The viejitos have always been there for us and seeing them treated unkindly is just heartbreaking. That is what one Twitter user experienced after her abuelo got a wretched note about his decorations outside his home.

This is the horrid letter left for @goldenstef’s abuelo by undesirable neighbors.

The letter, which is filled with misspelled words, calls the abuelo’s house an example of a “low class Mexican family.” The letter was written anonymously by neighbors and delivered to the abuelo in an attempt to shame him into changing his decorations. One of the most bizarre moments in the letter is when the angry author criticized the homeowner for having too many American flags claiming he isn’t patriotic and can’t fool the neighbors. Like, which one is it people?

The Twitter user followed up with photos of the house to show the decorations their abuelo has out front.

People flooded the Twitter post with comments supporting and sending love to the abuelo. Fellow Latinos are ready to stand with the abuelo and some just want the names of the people behind the letter so they can talk to them. Some people are stunned at how far the author was willing to go out of their way to be mean to an old man who just wants to decorate his home and front yard.

Latino Twitter wants to come together to let the abuelo know that his decorations are adorbs.

We need to come together to give her abuelo all of the wonderful decoration we love. Let’s turn his house and front yard into a showcase of all of the greatness that Latin America has to offer.

People are falling in love with this viejitos yard.

Honestly, this is a great yard. Who wouldn’t want a yard like this? This yard is original and adorable and worth all of the praise that we can muster. Thank you to people like this for making their yards something unique and worth seeing.

@goldenstef wants everyone to know just how much they appreciate the sweet messages about their abuelo’s yard.

It costs nothing to be kind. It is even better when you can be kind about something someone clearly cares so much about. Who cares if someone decorates their lawn a little too much. At least they are having fun with their lives and that is something we all need more of right now.

Latinos For Trump Posted A Collage Of Flag For Hispanic Heritage Month And Got Some Wrong

Latinos for Trump has long been a confusing organization in the Latino community. President Donald Trump has built his administration and brand to be squarely against people of color. Now, the Latinos for Trump group caused a stir when they posted a collage of flags that are not quite right.

Latinos for Trump really thought they had something when they posted their Hispanic Heritage Month collage.

The first, and most obvious mistake, is that the Mexican flag is backwards. The flag is supposed to be green, white, and red in that order. As we can all see, the collage has a Mexican flag that is red, white, and green. The eagle is even facing the wrong way so someone literally flipped the flag the wrong way.

Of course, some people tried to make sense of the bizarre Mexican flag snafu.

Last year, the Trump administration announced that it was cutting aid to three countries in Central America. The countries were El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala. Fox & Friends picked up the story but told their audience that Trump was cutting aid to “3 Mexican countries.” Perhaps this Twitter user is right and the Latinos for Trump are trying to suggest the existence of other Mexicos.

Someone else pointed out the issues with the Guatemalan flag in the top right corner.

People are very defensive about their cultural heritage and national origin. Messing up someone’s flag is a very serious issue for people. Just ask a Cuban or Puerto Rican about people confusing their flags. It is never a good thing.

Some people fixed the image for them so the organization can see what it should have looked like.

Good, clean lines with all of the flags facing the right way. The creator even changed the message in the middle for the Latino community. It is clear that social media is still willing to show up and teach a couple of lessons here and there.

Others had a more direct message for Latinos for Trump.

We all know that social media is where things go to be manipulated and made fun of. It is very important that if you make something for social media that you take good care to make sure that you check all of the right boxes and execute your work right the first time.
