U.S. Men’s Gymnast Danell Leyva Does Shirtless Routine & The Crowd Lost It

Cuban-American Danell Leyva proudly represented the United States at this year’s Olympics in Rio. Although team USA didn’t make the podium during the team event, Leyva still walked away with silver medals in the individual parallel bar and horizontal bars routines.

To cap off his Olympic career, during the men’s exhibition night, Leyva decided to have some fun and perform half of his horizontal bars routine…shirtless.

In fact, it was a suggestion by his teammate Sam Mikulak. Mikulak thought it would make men’s gymnastics more popular. “People make fun of us for wearing tights. But if they saw how yoked we are, maybe that would make a difference.”

Mission accomplished. After seeing Leyva perform shirtless, the crowd went wild.

Rio will be Leyva’s last Olympic games, as he plans to move to Los Angeles and pursue a career in acting.

Check out his shirtless performance below and…

“Yes, he’s definitely still in there.”

The only thing Monique Salinas wanted for her quinceañera was for her brother Mikey to be present. Unfortunately, Mikey had passed away 10 years before in a car crash. Still, Monique’s mother Melissa Hernandez, was able to surprise her daughter with a part of Mikey – his heart. After he passed, Aubrey Reeves received Mikey’s heart and kidneys as a transplant. The 18-year-old drove from Wichita Falls to Benavides, Texas to meet Mikey’s family for the first time.  Thanks to Melissa, her children’s hearts were able to reunite once again.
