This Boyfriend Handled His Latino In-Laws Like A Casanova

We have all been there. You’re out with bae and before you know it, time just gets away from you and it’s past curfew. That’s exactly what happened to this too-adorable-to-handle couple in Texas. After three months together, Marc Doran got carried away during his date with Margaret Zapata and accidentally brought her home past curfew. But the way he handled the situation is so sweet it’ll literally give you diabetes.

Margaret Zapata, or @magaretzap on Twitter, is setting the bar high for relationships after posting this tweet.

“Sorry for bringing Margaret so late. It won’t happen again,” he wrote.

“I was supposed to be home at 9 and my mom texted me at 10 asking where I was and we were out eating,” Zapata told mitú. “She was alright with it, but then time went on and we were having parked car conversations. It wasn’t until 11 that we realized it was getting pretty late.”

Her boyfriend, Marc Doran, didn’t just buy her mom any flowers and ice cream. He went above and beyond and got her her favorites.

“He asked before what she liked and I wasn’t quite sure why he was asking,” Zapata told mitú. “She couldn’t stop smiling. She thought it was super sweet.” ?

Mrs. Zapata isn’t the only one who’s melting. People are in love with the tweet.

Some people are safely assuming if he treats his suegrita like that, he probably treats all women like royalty.

“They’ve gotten along really well,” Zapata told mitú about how her mom and boyfriend get along. “My mom thinks he’s such a sweet boy.”

But, a Latina mother never forgets, though they do forgive on a first offense.

But after a surprise package like that, “She did forgive him,” said Zapata.

And we can’t blame her one bit.

This isn’t the first time that Doran surprised Zapata in a flawless manner.

She thought she was getting chicken strips, but Oh…mai…gawd!

Nicely done, Marc. You’re goals.

President Trump and Mexico’s President Enrique Peña Nieto are in a war of words over who will pay for the proposed border wall between the U.S. and Mexico. The two presidents were scheduled to meet later this month, but after a tense series of statements and tweets, Mexican President Peña Nieto has cancelled the meeting. This decision comes a day after Trump signed an executive order to begin building the border wall between the U.S. and Mexico.

Enrique Peña Nieto’s cancellation came shortly after he released this video to Twitter:

In the short video, President Peña Nieto says Mexico will not pay for the wall and advises Mexican consulates in the U.S. to make efforts to protect Mexican citizens currently living in the U.S.

In the build-up to Mexico’s cancellation of the meeting, President Trump tweeted his case for why Mexico should pay for the wall.

Trump also suggested cancelling the meeting, which could have been a strategic negotiating tactic or an actual threat.

President Peña Nieto took initiative by informing the world that the scheduled meeting between the two leaders was now cancelled.

“This morning we have informed the White House that I will not attend the meeting scheduled for next Tuesday with the @POTUS,” wrote Peña Nieto.

President Peña Nieto’s tweet isn’t a sign of aggression, as EPN has numerous times reiterated respect for the U.S.

On Wednesday night, President Nieto wrote: “We reaffirm our friendship with the people of the United States and will to reach agreements with the Government. Agreements on behalf of Mexicans.”

But President Peña Nieto has also made numerous calls for the U.S. to respect Mexico’s sovereignty.

This sentiment was tweeted out Wednesday night: “Mexico offers and demands respect, as the fully sovereign nation we are.”

President Peña Nieto’s decision to cancel the meeting comes during a time of great unrest in Mexico.

President Peña Nieto has faced increasing criticism from Mexico’s citizens over the last several months. Gas shortages and the failing peso have put people at odds with the unpopular Mexican President. Peña Nieto’s popularity rating, a dismal 12 percent, has plummeted largely due to his failure to stand up to President Trump’s heavy-handed negotiating tactics, USA Today reports.

Trump’s administration has not yet given a response to the news that President Peña Nieto has cancelled the meeting.

Before the meeting, Trump reportedly tried assuage fears, saying that the meeting was not meant to be a “confrontation” but rather a “negotiation.” However, Trump’s latest tweets must have suggested the opposite to Nieto, leading to the cancellation.

A day after President Trump authorized building the wall, Mark Morgan stepped down as from his position as U.S. Border Patrol chief.

No official reason has been given for the departure, but the Los Angeles Times reports that Morgan was pushed out by the Trump administration.
