This Boyfriend Handled His Latino In-Laws Like A Casanova

We have all been there. You’re out with bae and before you know it, time just gets away from you and it’s past curfew. That’s exactly what happened to this too-adorable-to-handle couple in Texas. After three months together, Marc Doran got carried away during his date with Margaret Zapata and accidentally brought her home past curfew. But the way he handled the situation is so sweet it’ll literally give you diabetes.

Margaret Zapata, or @magaretzap on Twitter, is setting the bar high for relationships after posting this tweet.

“Sorry for bringing Margaret so late. It won’t happen again,” he wrote.

“I was supposed to be home at 9 and my mom texted me at 10 asking where I was and we were out eating,” Zapata told mitú. “She was alright with it, but then time went on and we were having parked car conversations. It wasn’t until 11 that we realized it was getting pretty late.”

Her boyfriend, Marc Doran, didn’t just buy her mom any flowers and ice cream. He went above and beyond and got her her favorites.

“He asked before what she liked and I wasn’t quite sure why he was asking,” Zapata told mitú. “She couldn’t stop smiling. She thought it was super sweet.” ?

Mrs. Zapata isn’t the only one who’s melting. People are in love with the tweet.

Some people are safely assuming if he treats his suegrita like that, he probably treats all women like royalty.

“They’ve gotten along really well,” Zapata told mitú about how her mom and boyfriend get along. “My mom thinks he’s such a sweet boy.”

But, a Latina mother never forgets, though they do forgive on a first offense.

But after a surprise package like that, “She did forgive him,” said Zapata.

And we can’t blame her one bit.

This isn’t the first time that Doran surprised Zapata in a flawless manner.

She thought she was getting chicken strips, but Oh…mai…gawd!

Nicely done, Marc. You’re goals.

An Old Video Of To TV Hosts Debating Whether The Moon Is A Planet Or A Star Has Twitter Twisted

An Old Video Of To TV Hosts Debating Whether The Moon Is A Planet Or A Star Has Twitter Twisted

To be a star or a planet? That is the question.

Or at least, it was The Question that made heads roll a few years ago and has begun to do again thanks to a revival of an old video.

Six years ago, in 2015 a QVC segment went viral after designer Isaac Mizrahi and his co-host Shawn Killinger got into a heated debate about whether the moon was a star or a planet. Little did they know that the moon, well, it’s actually just a moon.

Now, six years later, the old segment is making waves again.

Mizrahi and Killinger started the strange debate in a clip that is surfacing again on Twitter.

The clip starts out with Killinger holding up a shirt made of green, white, and blue colors before declaring, “This is what we call emerald, but really it’s more of a seafoam.” She then goes onto point out that “it almost kinda looks like what the earth looks like when you’re a bazillion miles away from the planet moon.”

Then in the familiar way that we’ve all done after realizing we might have made a mistake, Shawn mutters the phrase again, contemplating. “The planet moon.”

Not picking up on her hesitations, Isaac agrees “The planet moon.” Copping to her mistake, Shawn asks “Isn’t the moon a star?”

“The moon is a planet, darling,” Isaac replies before pulling his co-host into a sixty-two-second-long debate in which Isaac insists the moon is a planet. “The moon is such a planet I can’t even stand it,” he even declares at one point. In reaction, Shawn attempts to support her argument by going through the planets in our solar system. Unfortunately, she doesn’t get very far and names Earth, Uranus, Saturn, and “the one with the rings.”

This is when Shawn then comes to the conclusion that the Sun is a star too but Isaac quickly replies that “We don’t know what the sun is” meaning that “us” as in the whole world doesn’t know.

The whole thing is only resolved once someone off-camera confirms what most of us all already know, the moon is not a star, a planet, but a natural satellite.

Much to Shawn and Isaac’s chagrin of course.

“A natural satellite? What’s that mean? I don’t like that at all,” Shawn asks suspiciously. “A natural satellite,” Isaac replies, adding. “But things live on it. That means it’s a planet.”

Fortunately, the hosts move on with the show to sell their shirts, but fans on Twitter have yet to forget.

Someone even animated the entire sequence.

COVID-19 has completely changed practically everyone’s way of living. But post-pandemic life has become especially challenging for parents, who are now forced to be stuck inside with their children for hours on end.

Between assisting your kids with distance learning and struggling to find your own “me time”, many parents feel as if their world has been turned upside down.

Recently, news watchers in Southern California caught a glimpse into the new era of COVID parenting when meteorologist Lisa Lopez’s toddler interrupted her live broadcast.

Los Angeles-based KABC meteorologist Leslie Lopez was reporting the weather as usual when she was visited by an unexpected guest. As she spoke about an incoming storm, her 9-month-old son, Nolan, entered the frame.

Slightly startled, Lopez giggled for a moment and said, “Looks like there’s a baby down below,” before bending over and picking him up. Then, like the rockstar that she is, she continued her report.

“He walks now, guys, so I’ve lost all control,” she quipped before ending the segment.

The public’s reaction to the adorable interruption was incredibly positive.

No one was annoyed that their weather report was interrupted. On the contrary, so many people felt like the clip made them feel less alone.

“Agree that this is always fun to see—we are all dealing with this and it makes one feel good—it’s real,” said one woman on Twitter. “It’s awesome. Never feel bad because we all inside are feeling joy as we can relate.”

Others commented on how the video perfectly illustrated how modern women have become adept at multitasking. “It was not just a moment of heartwarming love, but a moment of the strength of women!” said another Twitter user. “It just shows how easily women can be full of love and do their job at the same time!”

Later, KABC did a special report on the happy mistake to see what Lopez herself thought of the surprising public reaction.

“We received so many comments from viewers thanking her for showing what the reality is right now for so many people working with kids at home,” said fellow reporter Jovana Lara. “It is not easy.”

As for Lopez, she revealed that viewers are hungry for a different kind of weather report: “I’ve been getting comments, ‘More baby in weather, please.'” Yes, please!
