The Inauguration Turned Into A Roast If You Followed On Twitter

History was made today as outgoing president Barack Obama said his goodbyes and Donald Trump was sworn in as the 45th President of the United States. For some, it’s a day to celebrate a new direction for the country. For others, it’s the first day of what could be a tumultuous four years. People from all sides took to Twitter to dissect every moment of today’s inauguration ceremony, and as usual, the jokes were abundant.

While thousands of Trump supporters took to the streets of Washington D.C. to celebrate…

… Other folks were at home, wondering what was up with Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway’s outfit.

Conway’s red, white and blue Gucci dress was the talk of Twitter.

Soon, everyone was trying to figure out what was in the box Melania Trump handed to Michelle Obama.

A few theories were thrown out.

Former President George W. Bush looked like he was having fun…

So was Bill Clinton, who was apparently caught staring at someone during the ceremony.

Later, Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama appeared to have shared a moment.

Although, if you look closely, it looks like a different angle of Hillary Clinton catching Bill staring at someone.

Lots of people shared these photos contrasting Obama’s 2009 inauguration attendance vs Trump’s inauguration.

That didn’t faze President Trump, who gave a speech that did not stray far from his campaign rhetoric. It also reminded people of “The Dark Knight Rises” villain Bane.

Meanwhile, another Twitter user reminded everyone that after the ceremony, we had a whole day ahead of us.
