For the Doubters, Here is a Sick Stat on Latinos and School

Time to throw those caps in the air! Since the graduating year of 2011, more and more Latinos are graduating high school across the country.

In fact, high school rates have been breaking records four years in a row. With the rate standing at 76.3 percent in 2014, there was more than 5-point increase compared to the school year 2010-2011.

It’s even higher in Texas, where the rate is 84.2 percent, and in California with a 77 percent for the 2013-2014 school year. There’s also a spike among English learners where the rate stands at 62.6 percent compared to 57 percent in 2010-2011.
