Watch Selena Gomez And Adele Give Mariah Carey Some Assistance With Her Christmas Classic

This Christmas “Carpool Karaoke” special just made 2016 so much better.

This year has been a doozy. We have lost several icons and most everything else just didn’t go as planned. Luckily, James Corden and Mariah Carey teamed up to deliver a happy note to end the year on. Carey joined Corden for his “Carpool Karaoke” Christmas special and it is as magical as you would imagine. Just like last year, Corden was able to get several 2016 “Carpool Karaoke” alumni to join in the fun including Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato to give the world a “All I Want For Christmas Is You” mashup to remember.

Legit, Mariah Carey didn’t seem too excited to sing her Christmas classic at first.

But, unlike all the other “Carpool Karaoke” episodes, all she had to do was sing this song. No chit-chat or fluff. Just those heavenly pipes singing the great Christmas song.

Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas were too lit during their little performance.

And Selena Gomez made sure to let all the viewers know that they were included in the festivities.

That’s what they call “star quality” in the industry.

Luckily, Carey warmed up and gave James Corden a sweet air kiss while “underneath the mistletoe.”

Sleigh, queen! Sleigh!

Selena Gomez Reveals ‘Revelación’ Tracklist, Drops “Selfish Love” with DJ Snake

The tracklist for Selena Gomez’s Revelación EP is here! The Mexican-American pop star also premiered her new single “Selfish Love” with French producer DJ Snake.

We’re excited about the Myke Towers collaboration.

Gomez previously previewed her Revelación EP with the singles “De Una Vez” and “Baila Conmigo” featuring Puerto Rican singer Rauw Alejandro. There’s another Boricua superstar lined-up for her upcoming release. With the tracklist unveiling, Myke Towers was revealed to be on the song “Dámelo To’.” That one sounds like it’s going to be hot. The EP will be seven songs in total with hit-maker Tainy at the helm.

“Selfish Love” with DJ Snake is a bilingual bop.

For her latest single, Gomez teamed up again with DJ Snake for “Selfish Love.” In 2018, she first worked with him on the global smash “Taki Taki” featuring Ozuna and Cardi B. Gomez was the fiesta and she was ready to party. The song was later included on DJ Snake’s Carte Blanche album.

Gomez wrote “Selfish Love” with DJ Snake, Cuban-American pop star Kat Dahlia, and rising Boricua singer-songwriter Kris Floyd. The song’s not explosive like “Taki Taki,” but it’s a vibe. DJ Snake melds his tropical house sound with elements of reggaeton music. That saxophone drop is everything. Gomez sings in Spanglish about not wanting to share her man with anyone else. As Latin music goes more global, Gomez is a great ambassador to help extend its reach and push the sonic boundaries.

Gomez’s Revelación EP will be released on March 12. She’s nominated twice at April’s Latin American Music Awards. She’s up for Social Artist of the Year and Favorite Music Video for “De Una Vez.”

For many people, the past year has been a time for immense change–sometimes for the worse, sometimes for the better. It appears, however, that Demi Lovato has been using the pandemic to focus on positive growth.

On Monday, Demi Lovato shared a post to Instagram telling her fans that she “accidentally lost weight” by unsubscribing from diet culture.

On Instagram, Demi posted a video showing off her healthy-looking body accompanied by a lengthy text describing her food journey.

“Accidentally lost weight,” read the text. “I don’t count calories anymore, I don’t over-exercise anymore, I don’t restrict or purge. And I especially don’t live life according to diet culture…And I’ve actually lost weight. This is a different experience, but I feel full. Not of food, but of divine wisdom and cosmic guidance.”

She captioned the post: “I’m full of peace, serenity, joy, and love today.”

Demi posted the moving health update on the heels of National Eating Disorders Awareness Week, a time when she’s been posting a lot of information with her followers.

On Sunday, she educated her followers about orthorexia, a disorder in which the person affected has an “obsession with proper or ‘healthful’ eating.”

On Monday, Demi also posted a video decrying the widespread use of photo filters that distort a person’s natural appearance. Demi wrote: “Unrealistic beauty expectations with these filters got me like: ‘But can I always look like this?’ ‘My skin is not this smooth.’ ‘Wait, do I need a smaller nose?'”

She added: “Thank god I’m realizing this now and I’m sorry for using them without realizing how dangerous they were before. Thank god these weren’t around when I was 13, but also…how are teens supposed to learn how to accept themselves with this shit?”

Back in December, Demi gave her fans a peek into the beginning of her eating disorder recovery by posting a photo celebrating her stretch marks.

“I used to genuinely believe recovery from an eating disorder wasn’t real. That everyone was faking or secretly relapsing behind closed doors,” she wrote. “‘Surely she throws up here and there’, ‘She can’t POSSIBLY accept her cellulite’… those we’re just a few of the things that I used to tell myself growing up.”

She continued: “I’m so grateful that I can honestly say for the first time in my life – my dietitian looked at me and said ‘This is what eating disorder recovery looks like.'”
