It’s no secret that Donald Trump is extremely anti-immigrant and wants to deport upwards of 11 million undocumented people.
Which is strange because Melania Trump, his third and current wife, might have actually been one at some point. Yuuup, you read that right.

Let me explain: Remember those photos of Melania Trump that were published recently? Those were allegedly taken in 1995 in New York City.
Melania Trump has repeatedly said that she did things the “right” way when she came to the United States, which she claims happened in 1996. On multiple occasions, she told reporters that she always went back to Slovenia, her birth country, to renew her visa before returning to the United States.
“I came here for my career, and I did so well, I moved here,” Melania Trump told Harper’s Bazaar back in January. “It never crossed my mind to stay here without papers. That is just the person you are. You follow the rules. You follow the law. Every few months you need to fly back to Europe and stamp your visa. After a few visas, I applied for a green card and got it in 2001. After the green card, I applied for citizenship. And it was a long process.”
This is an important fact because there are two types of visas: One that lets you work in the United States, and one that doesn’t.
The visa that lets you work in this country legally usually lasts up to three years, which means that there’s no need to leave the U.S. on the reg. The visa that DOESN’T let you work in the United States usually lasts for six months, which means that you have to leave the country and get another visa.
What Melania Trump says she was doing sounds a lot more like the second scenario, which means that if she was entering the United States with a non-working visa, and she still participated in a photo shoot that she got paid for, she broke immigration law.
This of course is all circumstantial evidence, but hey, Trump has made wilder accusations on less. (Like Obama’s birth certificate nonsense.) So if he can do it to others, it can be done to him.
So, Melania, until you show us your papers, until you release the documents pertaining to your visa, we are just going to assume that your bigot, anti-immigrant husband is married to someone who at one point in her life was an undocumented immigrant.
