Whip out the matches, it’s time to light up that Cuban you’ve been saving.
Right when we were starting to think it would be easier to get a ticket to the moon and back than one to Cuba, but Obama just proved us wrong. The White House announced that there will be 20 flights a day, connecting the two countries for the first time in 50 years.

On June 10, several airlines were awarded the right to resume routes to Cuba.
Delta, Jet Blue, Frontier, American and Southwest will all welcome the new flight path. United Airlines will offer 35 flights to José Martí International Airport in Havana immediately. Spirit has flights there, too, so you can definitely afford it. (If you don’t need a bag, pack your own peanuts and enjoy snuggling with strangers.) Luckily, Cuba is only 90 miles away and the ropa vieja is definitely worth it.
