Gina Rodriguez Performs Nicki Minaj On Jimmy Fallon

During a recent episode of “The Tonight Show,” host Jimmy Fallon got Gina Rodriguez to share a side of herself that we haven’t seen since her breakout role as Majo Tonorio in “Filly Brown”: the rapping goddess. Fallon was quick to bring up Rodriguez’s past as a rapper during her time at NYU. Clearly no college party is complete without Rodriguez spitting some sick lines.

Jimmy Fallon got straight to business with Gina Rodriguez, asking her about someone named “Cutz.”

“This is correct,” Rodriguez told Fallon. “Cutz is my alter-ego.”

And, yes. It is spelled C-U-T-Z.

“I think that’s pretty cool like, ‘Cutz’,” Rodriguez said while laughing. “Cutz and it was me and my best friend and she was Lady Fury. Lady Fury and Cutz.”

So, what else is there to do than give Rodriguez a microphone and watch her flawlessly rap Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass.”

Cardi B Reveals The Three Words You Will Never Hear Her Rap, But Are They Really That Bad?

Cardi B Reveals The Three Words You Will Never Hear Her Rap, But Are They Really That Bad?

Cardi B / YouTube

It’s no secret that Cardi B is totally OK with explicit lyrics. One listen to her latest hit ‘WAP’ – with Megan Thee Stallion – and you’ll hear the word ‘pussy’ an impressive 18 times. Not to mention some other very descriptive terms, phrases, and euphemisms.

The song has garnered attention largely because of its lyrics and it’s caused an uproar among conservatives who have even lobbied for the song to be banned. However, that’s only added to its popularity. And Cardi B has no intention of backing down. Though, the rapper admits, there are some words she’ll never include in one of her songs.

Cardi B talks the three words she’ll never put in a song and the list might surprise you.

Cardi B has no issue with talking about her ‘wet ass pussy’ or wanting her lover to ‘make it cream, make me scream.’ But it looks like even Cardi has limits when it comes to certain words she won’t use in her songs.

In an interview on The Kyle and Jackie O radio show last week, the ‘Bodak Yellow’ rapper confessed that there are some words she really doesn’t like.

“I mean, ugh, ‘discharge’ is kind of gross,” she told the hosts. “A cringy word to me is ‘moist’. I just hate it. She added, “And I hate the word ‘horchata’. It’s a Mexican drink. It’s really good, but I just hate that word.”

Really Cardi, these are the words you hate? I mean ‘moist’ is a pretty commonly accepted gross word. In fact, 20% of the population has a serious aversion to the word ‘moist,’ too.

However, some fans point out that horchata has already made its appearance in a Cardi track.

Once the interview went live and people started hearing about her short list of hated words, fans started pointing out hat she’s already actually used one of the words before.

Turns out, she uses the word ‘horchata’ in her song with Bruno Mars, ‘Please Me’. One Twitter user tweeted, “Cardi B said in an interview that she hates the word horchata & would never use it in a song…isn’t it in that song with Bruno Mars?”

The discussion came about during a chat about the lyrics of ‘WAP’ – which definitely features some explicit language.

Meanwhile, talking about the explicit version of ‘WAP’, host Kyle said he preferred it to the clean radio edit, which changes the lyrics from “wet ass pussy” to “wet and gushy.” Agreeing, Cardi replied, “I would have had to replace it with ‘bounce that big old booty’, because that’s the only thing that rhymed. It was really hard to clean this song up, because I hate the word gushy.”

Cardi also defended the song against critics, adding: “The people that the song bothers are usually conservatives or really religious people, but my thing is I grew up listening to this type of music. Other people might think it’s strange and vulgar, but to me it’s almost like really normal, you know what I’m saying?”

Meanwhile, there’s a growing list of Cardi B terms that should definitely be added to the dictionary.

Cardi B isn’t just a name; it’s a languageand everybody’s speaking it. So why shouldn’t she be added into the dictionary?

  • Regular degular shmegular: a humble way to describe oneself. Cardi is always quick to remind fans that, although she’s achieved immense success, she’s still a “regular degular shmegular girl from the Bronx.”
  • Okuuuuuuurt: a slightly played out version of ‘okayyyy’
  • Bloody Shoes: On her track “Blodak Yellow,” Cardi uses the phrase “bloody shoes” in reference to her Christian Louboutin heels, which are known for their red soles.
  • Caught a lick: Pure luck. “When you find, like, a hundred dollars on the floor. You caught a lick.”
  • Bollection: Cardi fashion.

What do you think? What other Cardi B words should be added into the dictionary?

Although fans have long speculated that Queen of Rap may be pregnant, she herself has thrown out some not-so-veiled hints, we finally have confirmation that the rapper is expecting her first child.

On Monday, in a beautiful series of Instagram photos, the 37-year-old rapper confirmed that she was #preggers. Her fans – including her celeb friends – immediately chimed in to offer their congratulations.

On Instagram, Minaj confirmed that she was definitely pregnant.

A huge congratulations are in order for the raptress, Nicki Minaj, who on Monday confirmed in an Instagram post that she’s pregnant. The rapper, 37, announced the news that she’s expecting her first child in a series of photos on Monday.

In the first post, Minaj wears a bikini and shows off a side view of her baby bump with the hashtag “#Preggers” and a heart emoji.

In two more posts following her initial announcement, Minaj shared more photos of her holding her growing belly. In the third post, she writes, “Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement & gratitude. Thank you all for the well wishes.”

Minaj and her husband, Kenneth Petty, started dating in 2018 and tied the knot in October 2019. Just five years ago the rapper predicted that she’d be a wife and mon by the year 2025 – looks like she made that prediction come true.

Ten years from now, I will have two children, unless my husband wants three,” she told Cosmopolitan at the time. “I will be into my fitness a lot more, I will stop yo-yo dieting, and I’ll be a housewife with careers that I can run from home. I want to be able to cook for my children, bake cookies for them, and watch them grow up. I just want to be mommy. Take them to school, go to the parent-teacher conference, help them with their homework, and put their work on the refrigerator.”

It wasn’t exactly a secret though, as the raptress had been dropping hints for months.

Fans have been speculating for months whether or not Minaj has been pregnant when she tweeted about her food cravings after being asked what she’s cooking during quarantine, and alluded to symptoms of morning sickness. She also posted a video of her husband, Kenneth Petty, rubbing her stomach back in February.

“Absolutely. Steak. Shrimp. Plus my famous cheeseburgers. So good. Been rlly having red meat cravings then salad cravings with extra jalapeños. Ordered Chkn nachos that didn’t come w/jalapeños. Who does that? Wow.”

Before news of her very real pregnancy, Minaj seemed to enjoy having fun with the idea and the frenzy a potential pregnancy would cause. On an episode on Queen Radio last February, Minaj announced she was expecting before backtracking and explaining it was a big joke.

“I’m pregnant,” she said, releasing a loud laugh moments later. “They really gon’ believe me — my manager’s face! He was about to die!”

Minaj has also been very open about her desire to become a mother.

But pregnancy hasn’t always been a joke for Minaj. In 2018, Minaj told Wonderland how much she wanted to have kids. “I’ve got to get married first then I’ll have a child. I might be closer than people think actually,” she said. “I love children. I’m not going to put that off for much longer.”

In September, Minaj announced on Twitter that she “decided to retire & have my family.” After uproar from fans, she clarified her comments in December during an interview with Billboard.

“I love music and interacting with fans, so I can’t really see taking myself completely away. But I want to be open to other possibilities in my life,” she said. “I do believe it is important to become a woman outside of the magnifying glass. I have to make sure that I’m well-rounded as a human being.”

Fans – including some other major celebs – chimed in offering their congratulations!

As soon as news broke on Monday that she was pregnant, the well wishes started to pour in. Her Instagram post already has nearly 8 million likes from fans and tons of felicidades from everyone from Halle Berry to model Winnie Harlow.

Halle Berry wrote, “YES Congratulations beauty!!!!♥️♥️♥️♥️”

Sam Smith wrote, “Congratulations beautiful x”

Model Winnie Harlow wrote, “Knew it knew it knew it 😍😍😍😍 SO HAPPY FOR YOU! Love you!!”
