Cristela Alonzo Took On A Thief And Walked Away With This Story

Cristela Alonzo never ceases to bring the heat in her interviews. This past week, Alonzo appeared on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” to promote her new Netflix special, “Lower Classy”, but her story about an encounter with a thief stole the show.

After hanging out with a friend, Cristela was making her way to her car when a gardener approached with bad news.

Apparently, the thief had literally just broken into her car and was barely across the street.

Cristela could tell he was the culprit because he was holding a bag from the cosmetics store Sephora.

Cristela thanked the gardener for the tip.

Then Cristela did what any scorned makeup fanatic would do: she began following the guy…

Because that’s the sane thing to do, right?

Finally, she dropped the sneaky act and went into full beast mode, yelling at the guy:

I feel bad for the thief at this point.

Friends told her she was crazy for confronting the thief, but Cristela said she did it cause she was Catholic, saying, “I trust God…”

By now, the thief is definitely regretting his decision to cross Cristela.

In the end, ‘Stela got her bag back from the thief. But more importantly, she learned something about herself:

No sane thief would try to go toe-to-toe with Cristela again, but for the rest of us, don’t try this at home. Or on the street. Or anywhere, ever.

Watch the entire clip now, and if you like that, check out “Lower Classy” on Netflix.

Sofia Vergara Responds To Those Who Think She’s Playing A Stereotype

ABC

A few weeks after Sofia Vergara’s much-discussed performance at the 2017 Golden Globes, the highest paid actress on TV said she’s OK with playing a stereotype. In a recent interview with Hola! magazine, Vergara said when it comes to Gloria Pritchett, the character she plays on “Modern Family,” she’s OK if people think she’s playing a stereotype. According to Hola!, Vergara said, “What’s wrong with being a stereotype? Gloria’s character is inspired by my mom and my aunt. They are both Latin women who grew up in Colombia, like me.”

Vergara did not address the mixed reviews she’s received for appearances at the Emmys and Golden Globes, where she wasn’t playing a character. In 2014, Vergara was literally put on a pedestal during the Emmys, which drew some criticism from people who felt she was being objectified. Earlier this year, Vergara also rubbed some people the wrong way for doing what they felt was a hackneyed “foreigner-can’t-speak-English-well” joke.

According to People magazine, Vergara told Hola! she’s upset when people complain about her character. Vergara says, “I am grateful for the opportunity because the gringos have let me in with this strong accent I have. Eight years ago nobody had an accent like this on television.”
