Stephan Colbert: “You’ll Never Take Me Alive, Coppers.”

Stephen Colbert just couldn’t help himself.  The late night host joined the Sean Penn/El Chapo fun by submitting his own audition tape for the biopic that is allegedly being produced — weird stick-on mustache and all.

“Ah, me llamo El Chapo. I run this Mexico. You’ll never take me alive, Coppers,” he says. “El bango, el bango.” As he continues with other outrages statements about drug mules and decapitated heads… which are not entirely ridiculous given El Chapo’s reputation.

Danny Trejo, aka Machete, AND tacos? Yes! Trejo has made this Hollywood-meets-culinary dream come true with Trejo’s Tacos, his new Los Angeles restaurant.

But this is no ordinary taco joint, Trejo’s Tacos — owned by Trejo and his colleagues Ash Shah and Jeff Georgino — is a contemporary restaurant that’s aiming to attract those who love tacos with a twist, such as tofu tacos with chiles serranos or fried avocado tacos with refried beans. Yum!

Now, before you go gasping all over this taco menu, you have to remember that this restaurant is in L.A. Yes, tofu-quinoa-kale-loving L.A. “Here, we wanted to include everybody, so we have a great vegan menu and gluten-free menu,” said Trejo. That should have all the hipsters, Hollywood starlets and models flocking to the place.

What’s awesome about his restaurant too, is that at the end of the night, everything left over is donated to the homeless.
