And no, it wasn’t about her new BF, Los Angeles Galaxy fútbol player Sebastian Lletget.

Several fans wondered* if Becky G had gotten rid of the gap between her two front teeth.

You know, the gap that she so proudly showed off early in her career.

Proud of it.

So, we decided to our best Internet detectives (OK, just me) to investigate.

That’s me. I promise.

First, let’s overlay that original tooth gap image over the new photo.

Hmm… looks like the gap doesn’t quite match up.

It’s not conclusive, though. Let’s investigate further. Here’s a screenshot of a recent Becky G interview (dated July 13).

It looks like we’ve found something.

It definitely looks like there’s some kind of gap still present, although possibly not as pronounced as before.

Maybe the gap is closing on it’s own? Maybe Becky G had some dental work that resulted in the gap closing a bit, but the gap isn’t *completely* gone. So… NO, BECKY G DIDN’T (COMPLETELY) GET RID OF THE GAP BETWEEN HER TEETH.

Also, who cares? They’re not your teeth.

It Looks Like We All Have A Lot More In Common With Becky G Than Just A Love For Mayores

Becky G recently sat down for an interview with Billboard’s “Growing Up Latino” and we just fell in love with the Mayores singer even more.

Like I had no idea we had so much in common.

In the interview, she discusses her favorite Spanglish slang, childhood games, and her pride as a Latina musician. It’s so good!

Becky G we are here for you living your best life and owning your identity. We need more of this!

Many on Twitter were so grateful to hear her speak up as a Latina and to have a role model they can identify with.

Growing up Latino, often the only role models you see are white ones or negative depictions of Latinos – characters created by Hollywood and the media.

So a huge shout out to Becky G and all the other incredible Latinos and Latinas helping change that.

Many were happy to see a woman celebrating her cultural heritage.

We couldn’t be more proud of the singer for speaking up.

The “Sin Pijama” singer herself took to Twitter to promote the interview and proudly proclaim her identity, which she says is a huge part of who she is as a performer.

Also, can we talk about how she used to play ‘tag’ as a kid growing up and how pozole and aguachile are her favorite foods?! #SAME

She’s helping empower women and girls just like her while trailblazing a whole new world for future generations of Latinas.

It’s so beautiful to see a badass Latina use her huge platform as an entertainer to empower our community.

Many on Twitter were thrilled to find out just how much they have in common with the singer.

Becky G is also making headlines for her recent collaboration with Zayn Malik for “A Whole New World,” from Aladdin.

People are living for this track and all that it means for the Latino community.

Now excuse us while we stream “A Whole New World” for the rest of the afternoon.

Seriously, this song is so good.

Becky G, thank you for being who you are and empowering the next generation of Latinos and Latinas.

The Aladdin classic “A Whole New World” is getting a Spanish remake, and Becky G landed the major gig.

The “Sin Pijama” songstress will be singing alongside pop-R&B star Zayn. Last week, the former One Direction member released a music video for the English version of the song, which he performed with newcomer Zhavia Ward.

The video — sans a magic carpet ride — shows Zayn and the previous contestant on FOX’s The Four singing the romantic ballad during a rainy evening in Manhattan.

“The selection of artists, producer and tonal direction was critical for the success of updating a classic song like this,” president of Walt Disney Studio’s Music & Soundtracks Mitchell Leib said in a statement. “Zayn’s vocals are like no other and his artistic imprint immediately brought a contemporary and diverse presence.”

According to Becky, “Un Mundo Ideal” is set to release on Friday, with a music slated soon after, and fans can barely tame themselves.

Aladdin hits theaters on May 24th. You can preorder the soundtrack here
