Demi Lovato’s risqué COMPLEX cover had barely hit stands when she decided to bare it all for Vanity Fair. Emotionally spent after learning of her great-grandfathers death, who was an important figure in her life, Demi decided “life is too short.” In her carpe diem state, she told Vanity Fair Patrick Ecclesine, who happened to be with her and her team at the moment, she wanted to do a photo shoot in her Greenwich Hotel room stat. There were five rules: super sexy, no makeup, no fancy lighting, no retouching, and no clothing. Here are some of the images that came of one spontaneous New York night.
“When I think of confident, I think of many things, but one thing in particular is feeling comfortable in your own skin.”
“…It shows other women you can get to a place where you can overcome obstacles of body image issues.”
“I learned after working very hard on my spirituality and my soul and my body, that you can get to a place where you love the skin you’re in.”
Brava Demi, brava!
