Others are rallying to use this as a teaching moment about how our elections work.

Messages of love and unity are being shared.

It is time for us, as a nation of people, to look for the positive and where we can enact that positive.

There’s a strong message: Be kind.

Fear can make the best of people, they just have to search for it.

And, lastly, people are trying to put their faith in love and humanity to work during this confusing and terrifying time.

The Way Hillary Clinton And President Obama Handled The Election Results Will Overwhelm You With Emotion

“This loss hurts, but please never stop believing that fighting for what’s right is worth it.”

Hillary Clinton addresses a somber yet enthusiastic crowd Wednesday morning at the New Yorker Hotel in New York City. While many in the country are still trying to understand the stunning victory by president-elect Donald Trump, Clinton delivered an energizing and inspiring speech to her supporters. Clinton thanked all the Americans that helped to progress her campaign and agenda calling it a “vast, diverse, creative, unruly, energized campaign” and that her supporters represent “the best of America.”

“For people of all races, and religions, for men and women, for immigrants, for LGBT people, and people with disabilities,” Clinton said in her concession speech. “For everyone. I am so grateful to stand with all of you.”

Obama has also addressed the nation following the results of last night’s election.

During his speech, Obama addressed the concerns of millions of Americans about the transfer of power from an Obama administration to a Trump administration. He spoke about his own ascension to the Oval Office and how the Bush administration had graciously made the transition smooth and efficient. Obama promised the American people that after his conversation with president-elect Trump that his administration would do the same thing. He reminded everyone that we are all on the same team and that the election was just an intramural scrimmage.
