Earlier this year, Mexican YouTuber Mario Aguilar had a viral hit on his hands with “Mamás,” a parody video featuring Aguilar reenacting all the crazy things his mom has said to him. You’ve seen this type of video before, but Aguilar’s acting is so on point that by the first few lines you’ll forget all about that. Well, Aguilar is back with another mom video, this one titled “Mamás Latinas.” And once again, his performance is so good that it may give you flashbacks to your childhood (or even recent interactions with your mom).
Do any of these sound familiar? Which ones did he miss? Let us know in the comments below.
“Cuando a la persona le vale madre todo … las cosas no funcionan.”
After a resounding defeat to Saul “Canelo” Álvarez on May 6th in Las Vegas, boxer Julio César Chávez Jr. was criticized for what many perceived as a “lack of heart.” Many expected Chávez Jr., who had a weight and reach advantage, to attack the smaller Álvarez. Instead, Chávez Jr. retreated for most of the fight, allowing Álvarez to control the proceedings from round one to round 12. Chávez Jr., the son of Mexican boxing icon Julio César Chávez, chalked it up to a tough weight cut, which he believed sapped him of any power to hurt Álvarez. After the fight, his father said he also believed the weight cut affected Chávez Jr., but remained complimentary of Álvarez’s performance.
Days after the fight, it appears Chávez Sr. is fed up with his son, who has had a long history of indiscipline. In a recent interview with ESPN, Chávez Sr. was asked if he believes Chávez Jr. should retire. Chávez Sr. replied that his son needed to change completely: “El no puede seguir asi. No puede seguir haciendo las cosas de su manera… valiendole madre todo.” He then paused for a few moments, visibly emotional, before explaining how difficult it was for him to watch his son perform without giving the sport or the fans the respect he felt they deserved. “Y ya están grandes, David,” he said to host David Faitelson, with an exasperated look on his face, adding, “Me va pegar un infarto … por andarme preocupando.”
