The Royal Baby Is Here And It’s A Big Moment For All Of Us Who Are Multiracial And Of Color

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry — the Duke and Duchess of Sussex — announced to the world that their bundle of joy finally saw the light of day. The couple announced that their baby boy was born on May 6, coming in at  7lbs. 3oz. Nice job, guys!

Now, on the same day they presented the little dude to the public, we are finding out critical details like more importantly: HIS NAME!

The latest royal baby is named Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

Twitter/@RoyalFamily

First, take a breath y’all.

Yes, it’s a damn long name, and we’re so here for it.

We take pride in our long names. It’s a cultural thing that many Latinos embrace.

We must admit, we were so curious to see how Meghan and Harry would name their child seeing that he has so much history on both sides.

This little baby has a lot to live up to. He’s got L.A. roots from his mother’s side and royalty on the other, so we think this combo of names is fitting. Don’t you?

Some people naturally thought the name is a tribute to actor KJ Apa who plays Archie on “Riverdale.”

We had no idea the royal couple were fans of the “Riverdale.” Though there could be other possibilities as to why they named him Archie.

The name Archie is also Prince George’s nickname, apparently.

We hope this baby name doesn’t cause too much family drama.

All we can say to Archie is, we get your struggle — and it’s going to be a long one.

Don’t worry, though, people will get over it in no time.

For the record, this is the longest Latino name ever.

You’re welcome.

Prince William Had The Best Answer When Asked How He’d React If One Of His Kids Was LGBTQ

Prince William was visiting the Albert Kennedy Trust to learn about the issue of LGBTQ youth homelessness when talked turned to his own children: George, Charlotte, and Louis.

Despite a complicated history with LGBTQ rights, the Royal offered up an answer to a pretty delicate question with a response that left many people shocked and overwhelmed with joy.

The royal, who celebrated his 37th birthday last week, visited the Albert Kennedy Trust on Wednesday to learn about the issue of LGBTQ youth homelessness and what the organization is doing to alleviate the problem. During his chat with young people being supported by the charity, William was asked how he would react if Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 4, or Prince Louis, 1, came to him one day to say they are gay.

“Do you know what, I’ve been giving that some thought recently because a couple of other parents said that to me as well,” William said. “I think, you really don’t start thinking about that until you are a parent, and I think — obviously absolutely fine by me.”

The Duke of Cambridge, as he’s also known, went on to say he would worry about the pressures his children may face if in the future they came out as gay or lesbian.

“I wish we lived in a world where it’s really normal and cool, but particularly for my family, and the position that we are in, that’s the bit I am nervous about,” he said.

He added: “How many barriers you know, hateful words, persecution, all that and discrimination that might come, that’s the bit that really troubles me. But that’s for all of us to try and help correct and make sure we can put that to the past and not come back to that sort of stuff.”

The possible future king was at the Albert Kennedy Trust to learn about issues facing LGBTQ youth.

LGBTQ youth across London – and the entire world for that matter – face hardships that non-LGBTQ youth can’t even imagine.

Homelessness among LGBTQ youth in London is seven times greater than the average population.

To many, this was a huge moment for the LGBTQ community around the world.

For a member of the British Royal Family to give such an endorsement to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender rights, and their fight for equality, is a big deal, especially in a time when the visibility of LGBT people is being continually questioned.

However, with the Duke of Cambridge being a figurehead for the Royal Family as well as the Commonwealth, it is also worth remembering that homosexual activity is still a criminal offence in 35 of the 53 Commonwealth nations – and it is only legal in 18.

Many will now be wondering whether Prince William’s words could have a positive impact on these places, where people are still fighting for their lives because of who they love.

People on Twitter reacted with absolute joy – especially since his announcement came during Pride Month.

And the fact that both him, his brother, and their families have been vocal advocates for the LGBTQ community.

While others thought it took way too long…

Though most countered that argument with “better late than never.”

And others wondered if Prince William would face the same backlash that Megan Markle did for her support of Pride on Instagram.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry also celebrated the LGBTQ+ community this month by dedicating their @SussexRoyal Instagram page to the cause. The royal couple, who welcomed son Archie on May 6, gave their Instagram page a rainbow tribute in honor of Pride Month, which kicks off June 1 in the U.K. and the US.

Meghan and Harry shared a collage made of photos — which included one of Harry’s late mother Princess Diana — from accounts they are following this month which included The Trevor Project, Stonewall UK, SAGE and artist Ruben Guadalupe Marquez.

“This month we pay tribute to the accounts supporting the LGBTQ+ community – those young and old, their families and friends, accounts that reflect on the past and are hopeful for a deservedly more inclusive future,” the couple captioned the post.

“We stand with you and support you 🌈 Because it’s very simple: love is love.”

Apparently, Megan got in hot water for the post she made on Instagram in support of Pride month.

Let’s hope that this was a one time mistake by the Royal family and that they’ll throw their support behind the LGBTQ community moving forward. Having another royal, Prince William, speak out in favor of the LGBTQ community has got to have some effect on the family as a whole.

On July 10, Cardi B and her fiance Offset welcomed their baby girl into the world. The Bronx rapper broke the news this morning on her Instagram. While everyone is exicted for a new member of the Bardi family, there was a lot of attention given to her name.

Cardi informed the world that her baby’s name is Kulture Kiari Cephus.

So how did the couple come up with this interesting name? Well, Offset’s real name is Kiari Cephus. So what about the Kulture? The couple have yet to fully disclose the reasoning behind the name, here’s some easy clues as to why they named their baby girl Kulture.

For starters, Migos — Offset’s rap group — have a couple of albums titled Culture I and Culture II. And the rest of Offset’s offspring also have names that start with a K including son Kody and daughter Kalea.

People on social media were definitely happy to hear Cardi B had given birth.

It seemed like homegirl had been pregnant forever!

But when it came to the baby name, well people weren’t sure what to make of it.

It was definitely a stop-the-presses kind of moment.

We knew the name wouldn’t be a typical sounding name, but Kulture?

Did they come up with that on the spot?

Some people thought the name sounded like it could be a curse.

It can’t be that bad.

Harry Potter fans may like it though.

Grab your wand and see what happens.

The name is already creating urban legends.

I wouldn’t mess with this.

Yes, it’s okay to take a moment and think about it for a while.

Normally we would just freak out, but perhaps it’s a name that we have to sit with.

Please don’t tell Kris Jenner because she may charge them for the name.

The who Kardashian family is quaking in unison.

Let this serve as a small reminder: Cardi B and Offset have unique names as well.

Okay, it’s all starting to make sense now.

It will take a while to get used to it, but give us time!

Congrats to the couple, and welcome to this krazy world, Kulture!
