Cardi B Knows It’s Best To Be Overdressed: We Made A Timeline Of Her Fabulous And Over-The-Top Court Outfits
Cardi B has been visiting the Queens Supreme Court in New York the past few months as she faces 14 charges against her, including two felonies, for her involvement with an attack on two bartenders, Jade and Baddie Gi, at a strip club. Cardi allegedly ordered an attack on the two sisters back in August 2018, after she thought Jade had sex with her husband, Offset, and was arrested in October 2018 after turning herself in.
Despite facing almost 8 years in prison, it has not stopped the rapper from showing off her style in a slew of dramatic outfits at court.
Since being arrested, Cardi has rocked the most outrageous court appearance looks including a new lip ring, a full real fur ensemble, a $15,000 white Christian Siriano outfit, a $3,000 hot pink Ferragamo suit, and a navy blue suit that shoe chose to go shirtless under, showing off ample cleavage. Scroll down to see all of Cardi’s most dramatic and iconic court appearance fits.
Looking classy in October 2018
Cardi B was charged with assault and reckless endangerment after turning herself into police in connection with a fight that broke out in a strip club. She turned herself in October looking like Marilyn Monroe, wearing a blonde wig, a white blouse, and pencil skirt with a matching suit blazer.
Casual in December 2018
Cardi B headed to the Queens County Courthouse in New York for her arraignment on December 7, 2018, after she missed her original court date a few days prior. All fur everythang—January 2019
On her way to criminal court in Queens on Thursday, the rapper was cocooned in a huge-ass fur coat and matching fur hat. Paired with oversized sunnies, the outfit was officially the biggest winter mood of all time. Cardi B also wore black Christian Louboutin glove booties (!!) and carried a black mini Hermes Berkin bag (!!!)—iconic even without the giant fur coat. And, might I remind you, Cardi B was walking into criminal court like this. Someone please write a TV show about her ASAP.
White out look—April 2019
In April of this year, she declined a plea deal, likely to maintain her innocence. She wore a white Christian Siriano tunic with a high collar and no sleeves, showing off her many tattoos. Underneath, she wore matching suit pants with a flared hem, a pair of $995 Saint Laurent ankle strap heels and on her arm, she carried a large Birkin bag. According to “Page Six,” the total cost of Cardi’s outfit was over $15,000.
Late and fabulous—May 2019
Cardi B returns to court THREE HOURS LATE in a $4,800 Salvatore Ferragamo pink pantsuit, featuring a low-cut blazer with just one button securing it, showing off massive cleavage, and a $7,000 Chanel bag after rejecting plea deal in New York strip club melee – as prosecutors move to have the case presented to a grand jury
All suited up in June
The 26-year-old rapper made an appearance at Queens Court in New York City in June, where she pleaded not guilty after being indicted on 12 counts. Cardi wore a stylish navy blue-and-pale pink, double-breasted pantsuit by London-based brand, Brøgger, accessorized with sky-high metallic black ankle-strap Stuart Weitzman heels and a coordinating pink-and-cream color-blocked Hermès Birkin bag. She also matched her blue bob and pink nails to the outfit —slay!
Feathered up in December
Wearing a black suit teamed with a dramatic black, feather cape and matching hat, the star entered the courtroom accompanied by an entourage who looked to be guarding the jacket’s train—and to make sure no one stepped on it. According to Entertainment Tonight, last week’s court hearing was to discuss private social media messages involved in the case.
Another hearing has been set for 17 January 2020, but it’s been reported that Cardi will not attend. Here’s to seeing more OTT, expensive outfits from this fierce queen next year. Alright, that’s all folks. Court adjourned.
