Becky G Is Turning Into Princess Jasmine For Disney’s Upcoming “Aladdin” And Fans Couldn’t Be Happier
The Aladdin classic “A Whole New World” is getting a Spanish remake, and Becky G landed the major gig.
On Wednesday, the Cali-based Chicana announced the big news on Instagram.
“I’m so honored and excited to share that I am singing the Spanish version of ‘A Whole New World’ from Disney’s Aladdin,” the 22-year-old Latin pop sensation wrote. ” … This is truly a dream come true and I can’t wait for you guys to hear this beautiful song.”

The “Sin Pijama” songstress will be singing alongside pop-R&B star Zayn. Last week, the former One Direction member released a music video for the English version of the song, which he performed with newcomer Zhavia Ward.
The video — sans a magic carpet ride — shows Zayn and the previous contestant on FOX’s The Four singing the romantic ballad during a rainy evening in Manhattan.
“The selection of artists, producer and tonal direction was critical for the success of updating a classic song like this,” president of Walt Disney Studio’s Music & Soundtracks Mitchell Leib said in a statement. “Zayn’s vocals are like no other and his artistic imprint immediately brought a contemporary and diverse presence.”
According to Becky, “Un Mundo Ideal” is set to release on Friday, with a music slated soon after, and fans can barely tame themselves.
Aladdin hits theaters on May 24th. You can preorder the soundtrack here
