Which RuPaul’s Drag Race Queen Is Your Spirit Animal According To Your Zodiac Sign

Have you been keeping up to date with the latest in RuPaul’s Drag Race Queen?

Hell yeah, you have.

As we’re all aware, Logo TV’s Emmy-Award winning global phenomenon is probably the best reality show in the world. Ever. RuPaul’s mini, maxi, and main challenges just keep getting more outrageous with each season. Better yet, her handpicked crew of zany contestants couldn’t get much sassier. But have you ever stopped to wonder which Drag Race Queen you most closely identify with? Have you ever considered who your spirit animal is according to your zodiac sign? Probably not, to be frank. But the whole process is a spot of fun, so let’s try to figure it out anyway.

Of course, we’ve thrown plenty of slayer Latina queens into the mix for you guys.

Aries

Credit: @ agesofaquaria/Instagram

As an Aries, you’re energetic and encouraging yet jealous and bossy. You love a good debate and excel at competitive games. More than anything else in the world, your most burning desire is to be number one.

Ring any bells?

How about Aquaria? The Brooklyn based queen who scored the number one spot last season.

As it so happens, Aquaria is an Aquarius in real life, which we’re willing to bet is the inspiration for her name. Nevertheless, her competitive spirit and winner takes all attitude makes her a bit of an Aries in our books.

Taurus

The Taurus want to own the best of everything and aren’t afraid of getting their hands dirty to get what they want. Then there’s the tendency to be lazy and cheap as well.

Above all else, this reminds us of Valentina. Specifically, when she couldn’t be bothered to learn the lyrics to “Greedy” by Ariana Grande and tried to wear a mask to hide her lousy lip syncing attempt.

“Miss Congeniality,” indeed. Hmmrf.

Leo

Credit: @ vanessavanjie/Instagram

The Lion-like Leo is courageous, entertaining, and arrogant. On top of that, they’ve also got a distinct fluffy mane, often a vibrant shade of long blonde or golden locks.

Surely, you can guess who we’ve got in mind by now? Yes, none other than the sassy blonde bombshell known as Vanessa Vanjie Mateo.

Remember when this Puerto Rican beauty lost a lip sync comp of “Ain’t No Other Man,” while none other than Christina Aguilera herself was in the judge’s seat.

Instead of sulking off stage, she gleefully strutted away with her trademark “Miss Vanjie… Miss Vanjie… Miss Vanjie.” Typical Leo behavior, right there.

Libra

Credit: @ cynthialeefontain/Instagram

Our pick for Libra goes to non-other than the fabulous Puerto Rican Cynthia Lee Fontaine.

In case you don’t remember, she rocked the Miss Congeniality award on season 8 and season 9 despite only being placed tenth overall. That makes her the shortest running contestant to win the coveted viewer’s choice award – not once but twice! Hardly surprising, though, considering she displays common libra attributes such as being charming, lovable, and sincere.

Libras are also famed for dancing the night away, leading Remezcla to question whether she was reinforcing Latino stereotypes. Hah!

Scorpio

Credit:  @ chichidevayneofficial / Instagram

Remember Chi Chi DeVayne, the sassy black performer from season 8 of the Drag Race and season 3 of the All-Stars Spinoff?

She’s our pick for the Scorpio’s spirit animal, but it’s more to do with her past than her performances on the show. DeVayne had a tough upbringing which entailed hanging out with gun-toting gangbangers and getting into all sorts of trouble. A school of hard knocks, if you will.

We reckon she only made it out the other side due to her brave, protective, and vengeful character, all of which are common Scorpio traits.

Cancer

Credit:  @ kimchi_chic  /Instagram

Who could forget Kim Chi? In case you already had, she was the outrageously creative manga-inspired Korean contestant that captured our imaginations way back in season 8 with her colorful outfits.

Aside from unbridled creativity, Cancer’s are known for strutting around with puffed out chests and for having round or “moon-like” facial features.

I don’t know about you, but we reckon that fits Kim Chi to a tee.

Virgo

Credit: @ eurekaohara / Instagram

The unforgettable Eureka O’Hara is a helpful Virgo’s spirit animal for her larger than life persona. Before bursting on to the RuPaul catwalk, O’Hara starred as Miss Don’t H8 DIVA to promote a powerful anti-bullying message, among other charitable volunteer gigs.

What’s more, her Virgo qualities of hard work and dedication have seen her come back from injury to secure a spot in the top three of season 10.

Sagittarius

Credit:  @ thebiancadelrio/ Instagram

Dedicated and always inspiring, season 6 contestant Bianca Del Rio encapsulates the Archer down to a tee. Not only did this enthusiastic and encouraging starlet snag first place, but she’s got a long and prestigious list of achievements to her name as well.

The part Cuban, part Honduran phenomenon has won a Big Easy Entertainment Award, New Orleans Gay Entertainer of the Year and a Southern Decadence Co-Grand Marshal title. She’s performed in countless TV shows, films, and cabarets as well.

Total Sagittarius.

Gemini

Credit: @ gingerminj /Instagram

Ginger Minj may be famous for the color of her…uhh… hair. But did you know she’s a bit of an artsy type as well?

When not competing on RuPaul’s, the brash and brazen contestant personifies the Gemini’s love for music and performance art. Ginger Minj has loads of musical numbers under her belt, not to mention TV appearances and theatrical roles.

Capricorn

Credit: @ carmen_carrera /Instagram

Peruvian-Puerto Rican beauty queen and proud transgender woman Carmen Carrera gets our pick for the Capricorn’s spirit animal.

Porqué?

Her fierce devotion and loyalty to her transgender issues, of course.

Remember when she slammed RuPaul for the show’s use of the pejorative terms “she-male” and “tranny”? That was her Capricorn character coming out loud and proud.

Pisces

Credit:  @ djninaflowers /Instagram

Just like any self-respecting Pisces, Puerto Rican native Nina Flowers loves nothing more than to dance. Of course, this should hardly come as a surprise seeing as she rocks the clubs and festivals of Miami as a DJ in her spare time.

Having trouble putting a name to a face? That’s probably because Flowers hasn’t been seen since the first season of the show when her romantic and helpful Pisces persona allowed her to snag second place.

Of course, you probably don’t remember back that far, do you?

Aquarius

Credit:  @ trixiemattel/Instagram

This particular personality type is known for being original and open-minded, which sounds a heck of a lot like Trixie Mattel to us.

After comprising a creative stage name from the taunts of her homophobic papa, Trixie’s made significant progress in the world of drag. Her primary achievement was coming in first during the All-Stars season 3.

Which WWE Finishing Move are you Based on your Horoscope?

2020 feels like being thrown off the top of the Hell in a Cell structure and crashing through the announcement table, fam. It’s been painful and disorienting. Even if we don’t know where this wild year will lead us, at the very least we still have the release of WWE 2K Battlegrounds to look forward to. Can I have a Yassss [in Spanish]? Thank you. That was beautiful.

(Scroll to the bottom to check out the WWE 2K Battlegrounds trailer!)

While 2020 figures itself out, at the very least we can unleash some madrasos on our friends and primos while playing this high flying, face smashing, adrenaline exploding brawl-style arcade game full of WWE Superstars and Legends. A HUEVO! But if you find it difficult to decide which finishing move you’re going to decimate your friends or primos with, NO WORRIES, baby…you can always look to the cosmos – because this article is going to tell you which WWE Finishing move you are based on your horoscope AND how you can send your opponents crying to their mamas.

ARIES

Aries. You’re Randy Orton’s RKO. But, Aries. Come on. You already knew that, fam. You’re calculated. Aggressive. Assertive. You’ll run into your friend at the supermarket and they’ll be telling you how their mom is doing good and how she’s around the corner getting some hair dye and BAM! RKO! You’ll drop that person right in the middle of the cereal aisle because you spotted them an elote that one time and they never paid you back. Aries, you’re wild. And that spontaneity will serve you well when you play WWE 2K Battlegrounds.

TAURUS

Taurus, you love beautiful things and you’re a very committed person – meaning, you just don’t let things GO! Taurus, it’s obvious. You’re Charlotte Flair’s Figure 8. Your finisher is beautiful. Stunning. And when you got that baby locked in, Taurus, you’ll never let go! You’re like my mom who never forgave me that one time I ordered pizza when she was about to reheat calabazas she made a week ago. So lock in that Figure 8, Taurus. Make your enemies throw their controllers in anger.

GEMINI

Dear, Gemini, of course you’re going to drop two finishers on somebody. You’ve got that crazy cosmic duality in you, fam. This means you’re definitely Sasha’s Back Stabber AND Bank Statement. When people play WWE 2K Battlegrounds with you, they’ll think they’re only playing a game. Ba-HAHAHAH! This ain’t a game to you! You came to win, Gemini. But, please Gemini, do us all a favor. Don’t play with llorones. Cause you’re gonna make someone cry with those moves.

CANCER

Cancer, your finishing move is Keith Lee’s Big Bang Catastrophe. You have great emotional depth. You’re sensitive. So it makes sense that your move should rock your opponent to their core, while bringing the two of you close. Cancer, when you drop that Big Bang Catastrophe, you are going to bond with your opponent so much. As their back slams onto the mat and you land, full-weight, on top of them…you’ll be closer than arroz y frijoles. Or like asada on tortilla. Or any other delicious food pairings you prefer. Cancer, thank you for caring so much about how you destroy your amigos and siblings.

LEO

Leo, this is your world, baby. You’re the king of the ring, which means, obvio, your finisher is The Undertaker’s Tombstone Piledriver. This is a legendary move. People don’t come back from this. One time I was watching the Undertaker deliver the Tombstone Piledriver on TV and from behind I heard my mom say to me, “Ese hombre no tiene madre.” I turned to my mom and said…”No. El Undertaker no tiene madre. Viene del infierno.” My mom gasped. She’d never met someone que no tiene madre before. So, when you’re playing that WWE 2K Battlegrounds, te suplico…take it easy on the other players. The Undertaker is not like the rest of us.

VIRGO

Virgo, you’re a perfectionist. You’re detail oriented. Your finisher is Drew McIntyre’s Future Shock DDT. This is a precision move. When you were a kid in line to hit the piñata, everyone swung blindfolded with all their might and made a fool of themselves. But not you, Virgo. You were solving formulas and equations in your head. By the time they handed you the palo to swing at the piñata, you knew the precise moment to swing, exploding that piñata and catching everyone off-guard, including your tío who was previously holding the piñata rope and subsequently hanging from the roof of the garage. Drop that DDT, baby. Drop it like it’s hot.

LIBRA

Libra you’re all about harmony and human connection. AWWW…Libra, eres muy cute. Except for when you’re making human connection by using Becky Lynch’s Disarm-Her finishing move to dislocate your opponent’s shoulder. Libra, while most people make connections by holding hands, or a simply high 5’ing… you don’t. Because your idea of connection is grabbing someone by the wrist, like Becky Lynch, and trying to yank their arm out. Libra, use this move in WWE 2K Battlegrounds to disable that cousin who taunted you saying, “You fight like a girl.” After you break their arm in the video game, let them know…”You’re damn right I do.”

SCORPIO

Scorpio, te vale madre what others think of you. You’re a Stone Cold Stunner, baby. You do things como te dé la gana. So when you step into the ring, you make your own rules. When your friend says your playing is “weak” – STUNNER. When someone tries to pick up a chair in the game – STUNNER. When your prima says, “I’m gonna pause, I need to use the restroom” – STUNNER. When your mom comes in asking if anyone wants limonada. STUN…wait, NO. Don’t give your a’ma a stunner. That’s rude. Your mom does a lot. Say, “please and thank you…” then give everyone else a STUNNER and drink your limonada as if it tastes like victory.

SAGITTARIUS

Sagittarius, you’re known for taking the road less traveled. When most go for a hard scoop slam, not you Sagittarius. Not you. You do Strowman’s Running Powerslam. Because a body slam is such a “from point A to point B” type of move. But you like to lift your opponents onto your shoulder like they’re a wholesale-sized bag of dog food and you run Sagittarius. You run from point A, to B, to C, to D, and you slam your friend’s character in the game somewhere around point Y, or Z. And when your friend says, “I’m tired of losing…can we order a pizza?” You say to them, “No. I take the road less traveled. I want Peruvian food. And I’d also like to travel away from not playing. We shall continue to play, and I shall continue to destroy you. I take the road less traveled.”

CAPRICORN

Capricorn. You don’t mess around. Neither does Asuka’s Asuka Lock, which totally makes sense as your WWE finishing move. Others may see you as serious and traditional, but when you’ve got that Asuka Lock on them all they’re gonna see is that they’re about to lose the match, because you’ve got a grip on them that’s tighter than your abuelo’s abnormally strong handshake. Why do all abuelos have that grip, though? My hand hurts just thinking about it…And just like your abuelo makes you panic everytime he holds out his hand to saludar, so will your enemies when you play as Asuka.

AQUARIUS

Aquarius, you’re a little bit of a peacock, and that’s meant in a good way. Your finishing move is Rey Mysterio’s 619. And it makes sense. You have panache. You’ve got style. You’ve got dance moves that make your mom wanna tell you, “deberías ir a la iglesia más seguido (you should go to church more often).” The 619 is a special move. It’s got style. It’s got excitement. And it’s got you swinging two boots like a roundhouse kick at your opponent’s face. Listen to the stars, Aquarius…the stars want you to kick your opponent in the face.

PISCES

Pisces, you are artistic. You’re a dreamer. You go with the flow. So when you flatten your opponents like handmade tortillas, you bet your mother’s enchiladas you’re using Alexa Bliss’s Twisted Bliss. Not only is this finisher a true work of art, but when your amiga sees you soaring off the top turnbuckle in the game, she’ll suddenly get the urge to apologize for all the wrong she’s ever done to you: like when she said your brother reminds her of that sexy reggaeton artist. Because as soon as that Twisted Bliss connects and her character in the game is totally norteada, her only hope of survival is that you have mercy on her. But WWE 2K Battlegrounds isn’t about mercy. If she wanted mercy, she should’ve played dominoes with her mom.

WWE 2K Battlegrounds is out NOW! Whatever your zodiac sign, this game is loaded with finishers from tons of WWE Superstars that totally align with your cosmic energy. So get ready to spend hours of fun drop kicking your friends in the back of the head, crashing your brother through a table, and giving your cousins spears, rock bottoms, and glam slams – because this game takes wrestling to new heights with over-the-top action you won’t get anywhere else.

As promised, here’s the WWE 2K Battlegrounds trailer!

*Please don’t try these moves at home. No. Not even with a helmet.*

Ethan Miller / Getty Images

It’s no secret that drag and, in particular, drag queens have made their way into the mainstream. Much of their success is easily attributed to the hit show RuPaul’s Drag Race, which has helped catapult hundreds of queens into the spotlight.

The show, which is now in it’s 12 regular season (plus countless spinoffs), has one eight Emmy Awards – but above all else, it’s helped create a community for LGBTQ persons who hadn’t grown up seeing people like them on TV. So many people say that the show has helped them accept their identities. It’s also helped launch the careers of dozens of drag queens.

It’s no surprise then, that the show has also attracted some of the biggest names in entertainment – from Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga to Ricky Martin and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, several high-profile judges have helped judge the completion for their charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent.

Mike Ruiz

Mike Ruiz was a tasty addition to the regular lineup of ‘Drag Race’ judges – having made several appearances over the course of the show. Although he hasn’t returned since season 6. He often launched the season with a photoshoot in which he had to find the perfect shot of each queen.

Maria Conchita Alonso

Credit: RuPaul’s Drag Race / VH1

The Cuban-born telenovela star made her debut on Drag Race in the very first season of the show – where she helped judge the first ever ball. She made her way back to Drag Race during season 5, where she came back to coach the queens on their telenovela acting skills alongside Wilmer Valderrama. It’s obvious this two-time guest judge has a special place in her heart for drag!

Rosie Perez

Credit: RuPaul’s Drag Race / VH1

The Acadamy Award-nominated actress also made her Drag Race debut on the show’s very first season, where she helped judge the first ever girl group competition. She judged alongside Mary Wilson and the duo were definitely one of the season’s highlights.

Jessica Alba

Credit: RuPaul’s Drag Race / VH1

Jessica Alba was one of the biggest-named actresses to appear as a judge – especially in the earlier seasons. She made her debut on Drag Race in season 7, which was jam packed full of big name guest judges – Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato and Mel B – just to name a few.

Jessica Alba didn’t disappoint fans on her visit to the show either having fun with the queens as they shot their parody music video. The winner of the episode – Kennedy Davenport – also scored a three year supply of products from Alba’s The Honest Company.

Demi Lovato

Credit: RuPaul’s Drag Race / VH1

Another season 7 judge, Demi Lovato’s appearance on the show left the queens gagged. She appeared in the season just two episodes after Ariana Grande had been on so the queens were being treated to some of the biggest names in pop.

Demi Lovato was joined by guest judge John Waters – who’s iconic films inspired the episodes maxi-challenge, of which Ginger Minj won. For the lip synch – between Miss Fame and Pearl – the queens got to perform Demi Lovato’s “Really Don’t Care.”

Christina Aguilera

Credit: RuPaul’s Drag Race / VH1

Getting none other than Christina Aguilera (a.k.a. Xtina) to appear in the premiere episode of season 10 (a.k.a. season X) was definitely a very clever idea. Besides, Christina Aguilera has been considered an important LGBTQ+ ally since her music video for “Beautiful,” which featured same-sex relationships during a time when this was not necessarily trendy for popstars to do.

On Drag Race, Christina Aguilera was more than willing to have fun. She even did a bit in which she pretended to be season 9 contestant Farrah Moan (who many believe looks like the singer). Overall, Xtina did not disappoint Drag Race fans!

Guillermo Díaz

Credit: RuPaul’s Drag Race / VH1

Cuban-American actor Guillermo Díaz made his Drag Race debut in season 11 on the third episode, alongside pop star Troye Sivan. The two were there to help judge one of my favorite maxi-challenges to date – the teams had to select a pop diva to worship in their TV evangelist show.

In the lip synch challenge, the bottom six queens lip synced to Jennifer Lopez’s “Waiting for Tonight” and it was everything.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Credit: RuPaul’s Drag Race / VH1

Drag Race was one of the most revolutionary shows when it first started. Here were drag artists going on national TV and performing their art form, when it was still considered extremely taboo. Times have changed, thankfully, and so much so that one of the nation’s leading politicians made a guest judge appearance on the show. Enter: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who made her debut on the show during season 12, episode 7.

This episode featured by far the very best ‘rusical’ every performed on the show – honoring pop queen Madonna. AOC was very visibly into the performance and gave plenty of constructive criticism and praise to the queens. She even snuck backstage during the taping of Untucked to have more one-on-one time with the queens, and reminding them of the power of their art form and their voice.

Ricky Martin

Credit: RuPaul’s Drag Race / VH1

RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Stars’ Season 5 is already a hit with fans and maybe Ricky Martin had something to do with it. Fans are loving him on the judges’ panel and didn’t hold back from expressing their love for him. The Puerto Rican singer-actor watched every performance with equal enthusiasm and awe — especially the last one where queen India Ferrah and lip-sync assassin Yvie Oddly battled it out in the elimination.

And pretty much all of Twitter agreed that Ricky Martin has only gotten better with age – calling him the ultimate trade of ‘All Stars’ Season 5.

Did we miss any of your favorite judges? Or who would you like to see make a guest appearance on Drag Race?
