Here’s Why Dodger Yasiel Puig Is Pissing A Lot Of People Off Right Now

What is it about some baseball fans that gets them so enraged over “modern” baseball? You’d think that a bat flip were more insulting and offensive to them than insulting their mothers! And public enemy number one in this new era of showmanship in baseball is none other than Yasiel Puig.

The Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder has a history of enjoying himself too much on and off the field and he hasn’t disappointed his legion of fans (and haters!) in that department during the post-season.

He flipped many a bat:

But, most importantly, he did this:

Naturally, the haters spread their haterade across the land.

Even Keith Olbermann took a swing at him!

Good Guy Puig took it all in stride though.

And he won Olbermann over!

Puig’s “antics” certainly have a large fanbase of supporters.

And of course his teammates have gone to bat for him to defend his “antics.”

In the end, we all need to realize that this is Yasiel Puig’s baseball field. All we can do is enjoy the privilege of watching him play as often as possible.

After Touring With Café Tacvba, Flor De Toloache Just Dropped An Empowering New Video

Flor de Toloache NYC

Two years after scoring a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Ranchero Album, Mariachi Flor de Toloache has remained very busy. Last year, they recorded a live performance for NPR’s popular Tiny Desk Concert series that has earned nearly 800,000 views. Earlier this year, they appeared in a campaign for fashion design house Kate Spade and released their second album, “Las Caras Lindas,” which was recorded in just six days. Last month, “Las Caras Lindas” earned Flor de Toloache another Latin Grammy nomination for Best Ranchero/Mariachi Album. The all-woman quartet just completed a tour with Café Tacvba and are set to go on another tour next week — a seven-city, Dia de los Muertos-themed jaunt featuring Mexxrissey and La Santa Cecilia.

If you can’t catch the NYC-based foursome performing live, check out their new video for “Long Gone Girl.” An English-language ranchera with a country twang, the song is all about facing your fears and taking the first step toward the life you really want to lead. Like all the best rancheras, this song will probably hit even harder after a few shots of your favorite tequila.
