“Riverdale” Production Put To A Stop Over Coronavirus Concerns

Something spooky has come to the town of Riverdale and it ain’t Sabrina Spellman.

Amidst the coronavirus scare the beloved teen drama series has announced that it has halted production.

CW

According to Variety, “Riverdale” put a pause on production after a member of production — no news yet if it is cast or crew — reportedly came in contact with someone diagnosed with coronavirus. The suspension comes at a time that the series is filming its fourth season and hysteria has shut down various other events. Recently it was announced by Deadline that The Kids’ Choice Awards have been postponed.

“The Kids’ Choice Awards scheduled for March 22, 2020, in Los Angeles is being postponed in consideration of the safety and well-being of every person involved with the show, which is our top priority. We will have further information about a new date in the future,” the statement published by Deadline read. Earlier this week it was announced that the NBA suspended its current season.

‘Riverdale’ Star Camila Mendes Talked About Her Skincare Routine And I’m Honestly Shaken

Every once in awhile, we all suffer the pains of an acne breakout. Still, it was only just years ago that we were led to believe that only “normal” people got pimples. Never the heroes and icons we looked up to. In our age of Instagram connectedness, however, celebrities and public faces of note are getting real and letting us know that the opposite true. “Riverdale” actress Camila Mendes is no exception.

In a recent post to her Instagram, story, the star posted a good-natured selfie on her Instagram poking fun at these moments of less than perfect skin.

Mendes got honest and funny about pimple woes in a recent story that garnered thousands of views on Instagram.

Captioned “Why use photoshop when you can find creative ways of hiding your pimple,” the pic shows the Riverdale star covering her forehead using her hand and bangs.

While it’s great to see her maintain a sense of humor through her breakouts, we also learned how Mendes keeps up her usually flawless complexion. In a recent interview about her skin, the actress shared what keeps her looking lovely after wearing all of that makeup on set. For the young actress, a stacked skin care regimen and regular treatments are what keep her blemish-free. “When I’m filming a lot I try to get [facials] once every two weeks because I wear so much makeup on set and it’s just getting caked on,” Mendes explained.

Besides facials, Mendes also uses microdermabrasion to address all the built-up debris caused by her makeup. “I do it to just kind of exfoliate and then I can see all the makeup that’s been stuck into my pores. So that helps a lot!”

Fortunately, especially if bi-monthly facials are outside of your budget, Camila Mendes shared her favorite must-have skin products as well. Check them out below.
