The Only Thing Actress Tatyana Ali Remembers About Donald Trump In ‘The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air’ Is His Hair

“We had no idea that the show was going to be that iconic.”

In a recent interview with “Today,” Panamanian-Trinidadian, American actress Tatyana Ali reminisces on her role in the famous ’90s sitcom, “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.” In this comedy television series, Ali played the role of Ashley Banks, the youngest daughter of Phillip and Vivian Banks and cousin of Will Smith.

Ali recalls her experience working with Will Smith, who she describes as “incredibly funny and a great story teller and so charismatic.” Ali remembers the immense dedication Smith had to his role in the show as it was one of his first acting experiences. He had the entire script memorized, so sometimes Ali would catch him secretly mouthing hers and everyone else’s lines during their dialogue exchanges.

Ali had the opportunity of being on set with guest stars Oprah Winfrey, Zsa Zsa Gábor and Donald Trump. Zsa Zsa Gábor was Ali’s absolute favorite because she was so kind, honest and open. Gábor wasn’t ashamed to share all of her beauty and plastic surgery experiences, which is something Ali loved. As for Trump, the only thing Ali recalls is the strange appearance of his hair.

Ali admits that she never thought the show was going to become so iconic. Although acting is a job that takes a lot of time and continuous effort, Ali appreciates that she was allowed to be herself on the set of “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.” She was allowed to be a kid, which was important. She was only 11 years old at the time and grew up on the set with her school books on one side and her script on another. “It was magical,” Ali expresses.

There are so many TV show reboots scheduled this year with Latinos that it might be hard for you to keep up. There’s the “Party of Five” reboot, the new version of “Charmed” — and now “Magnum P.I.” This is clearly a trend since “Full House” and “One Day At A Time” were also rebooted with Latino stories. “Magnum P.I.” might be a little too old for some people but here is the young face they are including that you probably know.

Jay Hernandez will be playing the lead role of Magnum P.I. in an upcoming reboot.

The Montebello-native, who most recently can be seen in “Scandal” and “Suicide Squad,” has signed up to play the title role of Thomas Magnum, aka Magnum P.I.

According to Variety: Hernandez will play a “decorated ex-Navy SEAL who, upon returning home from Afghanistan, repurposes his military skills to become a private investigator.”

People are totally into Hernandez being cast for the lead role.

Freddy Rodriguez and Luis Guzman were co-stars with Hernandez on “Nothing Like the Holidays” in 2008.

And him being a Latino in the lead definitely plays into people’s excitement.

If you’re wondering why this show was so popular back in the ’80s, here’s a little explainer:

The show aired for eight years from 1980 to 1988 and people loved it.

The show was hugely popular mostly because Tom Selleck, who played Magnum P.I., was pretty hot.

Clearly Hernandez will do perfectly well in that category.

Audiences also couldn’t get enough of Selleck’s mustache.

We’re not sure if the new version of Magnum P.I. will also feature a mustache, but we could definitely be into Hernandez sporting some facial hair.

The show is still just in the development stages so there is no date set for its release.

All we do know is that Hernandez will definitely deliver.
