“Pardon me… Oh, I’m not talking to you, I tried to pardon myself.”

Earlier this week on The Simpsons’ Twitter and YouTube account, a video was posted depicting President Donald Trump attempting to bribe FBI special counsel Robert Mueller.

After dumping a room full of cash on Mueller, it isn’t enough to sway him. He says no, plain and simple.

Mueller is leading the investigation into Russian collusion during the 2016 presidential election. He is essentially investigating Trump’s alleged ties to Russia. Trump, whose animated hair is an actual dog that moves around on his head, then tries to pardon himself out loud. Mueller’s had enough of Trump’s trickery. He swims out of the room and away from 45. The cleaning lady then comes in to fix it all up and Trump, not wanting to be seen with the money bribe, dives under and disappears, too. Dog wig and all.

Pull back to reveal: the cleaning lady is actually San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz.

She begins vacuuming up all the money in the room. And just like that, Puerto Rico is saved!

Hey, they’ve predicted stuff in the past, maybe this video is a prediction of things to come. Is the Simpsons really the ghost of Christmas future or nah? I mean, the only way Puerto Rico is going to get the full funding they need from this administration is through a blunder like this.

We’ll just have to wait and see what that Simpson’s magic 8-ball says in the future, but at the moment: outlook not so good.

The video ends with a reminder that many Puerto Ricans are still in the dark and how you too can help.

Way to stick it to the man, Simpsons!
