🇬🇧 We are beyond happy to announce that we have become parents to a beautiful and healthy baby girl, Lucia Martin-Yosef. It has been a special time for us and we cant wait to see where this stellar baby will take us. Both her beautiful brothers and me and Jwan have fallen in love with Lucia ❤

“We are beyond happy to announce that we have become parents to a beautiful and healthy baby girl, Lucia Martin-Yosef,” Yosef wrote on his Instagram post with the same image. “It has been a special time for us and we can’t wait to see where this stellar baby will take us. Both her beautiful brothers and me and Ricky have fallen in love with Lucia.”

Fans are showering the couple with love and praise for growing their family.

Martin has long been vocal about wanting to have a large family. In January 2018, Martin told E! News that he wanted four more pairs of twins.

“I would love to have a big family. Yes, I do want a big family, but there’s a lot going on at the moment with a lot of work, wedding, it’s a lot going on. So we’re going to put things in order first and then we’re going to get ready for many more kids,” Martin told E! News.

A few fans were just excited that the baby has a conventional name.

It does seem that there is a trend for unique names. Martin and Yosef kept things simple and gave her a name so many fans are able to get behind.

The announcement caused some people to pause all of there plans to celebrate.

Seriously. This is a moment to celebrate the love and growth of a family that has been using their name and fame to help so many. Martin and Yosef were major players in helping Puerto Rico rebuild after Hurricane Maria.

Congratulations, Ricky and Jwan.

Welcome to the world, Lucía. 💜

The start of a new year can only mean one thing, it’s officially festival announcement season. To kick things off, Coachella dropped its lineup for this year’s music festival which will take place from April 12–14 and April 19–21 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. At the top of the lineup are headliners Childish Gambino, Tame Impala, and Ariana Grande but lucky for us there are also growing number in Latino acts this year. It follows last years trend in including more diversity to the 19-year old festival and is a reflection of the current state of Latino artists on the rise.

Here are some of the Latino artists that will be taking the stage at Coachella this year.

1. Los Tucanes de Tijuana

When the lineup dropped and people saw Los Tucanes de Tijuana, dreams of dancing to “La Chona” with a giant sea of people quickly became a reality for many. The legacy group is one of the most well-known Mexican norteño bands and with classics like “El Centenario” and “El Tucanazo”, their setlist is sure to bring the party to Coachella.

2. Bad Bunny

While he did make an appearance last year on stage during Cardi B’s performance, Bad Bunny is set to make his solo debut in April. The Puerto Rican Latin trap and reggaeton singer recently surprised fans on Christmas Eve by dropping his debut album, “X100PRE.” It’s no surprise Bad Bunny is finally getting his chance to shine at Coachella, he was one of the top 10 most streamed artists worldwide in 2018. With an array of hit singles with the likes of Drake and Cardi B, he is sure to have quite a performance this year at Coachella.

3. J Balvin

Reggaeton superstar J Balvin is one of the most popular Colombian artists and this year he will get the chance to show everyone his unique sound at Coachella. Balvin dropped his latest album “Vibras” just last year that earned him a Latin Grammy in November for “Best Urban Music Album.” He is set to bring some of his biggest hits like “X’ and “Mi Gente” when he takes the stage introducing Reggaeton to a whole new audience.

4. Mon Laferte

Chilean singer-songwriter Mon Laferte is one of the most successful artists to come from Chile and is finally getting the recognition she deserves. In 2017, Laferte became the Chilean artist with the most nominations in a single edition of the Latin Grammy Awards. With her recently released album, “Norma”, Laferta is sure to get the people grooving with her unique mambo and pop sound. It’s safe to say Laferte will be gaining a slew of new fans after Coachella this year.

5. Rosalía

One of newest rising Latin artists in the music industry, Rosalía became one of the biggest pleasant surprises when the Coachella lineup dropped. Hailing from Spain, Rosalía has created a unique sound that blends pop and urban beats with Spain’s traditional music. She garnered five nominations at last years Latin Grammys and released a highly acclaimed album as well, “El mal querer”. The flamenco artist is set to take the stage in what should be a mesmerizing performance of dance and Spanish pop.

A number of other rising Latino performers ready to take the stage at Coachella. It has become a reflection of the growing diversity in mainstream music today.

Acts like Javiera Mena, boy pablo, Las Robertas, and Sabrina Claudio are slated to take the stage at Coachella this year. Having a huge audience platform like Coachella usually means more exposure and an opportunity to showcase your talent to a whole new audience. Just last year Mexico City became the streaming capital of the world and Latin music became one of the most streamed genres.

This and last years Coachella lineup are showing this growing popularity is not only Latino genres but artists as well. Cardi B has quickly become one of the biggest artists in the world and Bad Bunny has put Reggeaton on the mainstream map once again. We hope this is just the start of more Latin representation that results in a push to have these artists integrated into the music festival landscape.
