Lionel Messi’s performance with Barcelona this past weekend will go down in history. With his team tied 2-2 against their hated rivals, Real Madrid, Messi scored a last-gasp stoppage time goal in what was likely the final play of the game. The goal, his 500th with Barcelona, gave his team the win and placed the blaugranas in a position to fight for the league title against Real Madrid. It also led to a “no F-ing way” nod from the player Messi is most often compared to: Cristiano Ronaldo. And he did it all at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, in front of thousands of rival fans.

After scoring the decisive goal, Messi removed his jersey and displayed it to rival fans, in case they forgot who he was.
Of course, the memes hit social media seconds after Messi scored. Here’s Messi doing a little housework.
