Mariah Carey’s Assistant Alleges Singer Used Her Credit Card For Plastic Surgery Procedures

Like many Mariah Carey fans or those intrigued by her life, we watched “Mariah’s World” — the reality show/docuseries — that touched on her life, music, and over-the-top divaness. It was a hilarious look at Carey and her extravagant ongoings, and it also showed us that her former assistant Lianna Azarian was a hot mess. So, it came to no surprise when these two ladies parted ways. Now we’re getting more information about their troubled relationship.

Lianna Azarian is alleging that her former boss, Mariah Carey, used her credit cards and racked up hundreds of thousands of dollars on her American Express.

Azarian told the Daily Mail that Carey used her card to get butt implants, and other plastic surgery procedures and did so apparently so no one would find out she was getting all of that work. Azarian also claims Carey used her money to go on shopping sprees.

The publication got a hold of those invoices from medical professionals that shows “a total of $32,765, and included PLLA buttock filler injections, a LipoFreeze fat-melting laser treatment to her upper breasts and an firming ultrasound procedure to her neck and jawline.”

Now Carey is suing Azarian for blackmail and alleges she tried to extort her out of $8 million or else she’d release medical records.

Page Six reports that Carey is suing Azarian for $5 million in damages and alleges that Azarian “breached a confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement she signed when she was hired in March 2015.”

“Carey expected Azarian would be a loyal ally in her business and personal life,” the court papers show. “Azarian was anything but: she was an opportunist, a voyeur, a Peeping Thomasina, and an extortionist. Unsatisfied with her extraordinary compensation, access, and lifestyle, Azarian sought to grow her wealth by robbing Carey of her privacy.”

While this whole thing is a hot mess, we think it would make for a great “Mariah’s World Part 2” reality show.

Mariah Carey Says Derek Jeter Is The Reason Why She Left Her Ex-Husband

Mariah Carey Says Derek Jeter Is The Reason Why She Left Her Ex-Husband

"Jimmy Kimmel Live!" / ABC

Mariah Carey’s personal life has always been about as elusive as the chanteuse’s voice itself. Throughout her decades-long career, fans of the singer have wondered about the men who fall at her feet. From her two marriages to different engagements, even a mysterious potential romantic tête-à-tête with Eminem, Carey has had a life filled with all kinds of loves and relationships but for the most part, kept her lips sealed about them.

Now, the singer is opening up about them.

In an exclusive clip from The Oprah Conversation, Carey revealed that a relationship with New York Yankee Derek Jeter in the late ’90s led her to leave her ex Tommy Mottola.

Speaking about Jeter, Carey described him as a “catalyst” in her decision to leave Mottola after being married to him for five years.

“Before you divorced Tommy Mottola, you met Yankee baseball player Derek Jeter, and you say he served a very high purpose in your life,” Oprah observes in her interview with Carey which calls on her upcoming memoir The Meaning of Mariah Carey. “This was one of those situations of the right person at the right place and the right time. What was it about Derek? He got his own song too, right?”

Responding to Oprah’s question, Carey admits “He got his own song. He got a few songs. He was a catalyst that helped me get out of that relationship because I believed that there was somebody else,” she explained “It was the racial situation, his mom is Irish, his dad is Black. But he was also very ambiguous looking to me. I didn’t know who he was, we met and I’ve written songs about it.”

“And honestly, I don’t think it was like, ‘Oh my gosh, he was the love of my life,'” Carey went onto admit. “Like, at the time I did, because I didn’t think I would ever meet anybody who wouldn’t- What’s the word? I used the word, I just thought about this last night. Not looked down on but feel superior to me because of the fact that I’m not one way or another in most people’s minds, and they have preconceived notions, whatever… But he was a catalyst. And I think that it was beautiful.”

Carey revealed that Jeter’s biracial family changed how she felt about her own.

“And they changed my viewpoint that ‘Oh, it’s because of the biracial situation that my family is so screwed up,’ as opposed to ‘it’s them.’ And yes, those things did play a huge part in their dysfunction. But it was healthy for me to see a functional family that basically kind of looked like mine, but didn’t feel like mine,” she admitted. “And he was also living his dream job and doing his dream job. I believe we connected in that way.”

Last month, Carey told Vulture in an interview that she wore a “buttery leather Chanel skirt” the first time she kissed Jeter.

“I can never forget that moment,” she explained. “I mean, it’s not like it was some intensely deep, intellectually stimulating — again, it was a great moment, and it happened in a divine way because it helped me get past living there, in Sing Sing, under those rules and regulations.”

Carey’s new book, which comes out at the end of this month, follows her “her meteoric rise to music superstardom” and the struggles she faced as a result.

“It took me a lifetime to have the courage and clarity to write my memoir. I want to tell the story of the moments,” Carey shared in a July post on Instagram. “The ups and downs, the triumphs and traumas, the debacles and the dreams that contributed to the person I am today.”

The Meaning of Mariah Carey will debut on shelves on Sept. 29.

‘Mariah En Español’ Is The Songbird’s First EP To Be Filled With Spanish Versions Of Her Hits

Columbia

Thirty years have passed since songbird supreme Mariah Carey first released her self-titled debut album. The album, which at the time topped the Billboard 200 album chart for 11 consecutive weeks was certified nine-times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America and sold nine million copies in the United States alone. Five beloved singles came from Mariah Carey including “Vision of Love,” “Love Takes Time” and “Someday.”

In celebration of the debut album, Carey is releasing multiple new EPs, including one in Spanish!

Since July, as part of her celebrations, Carey has been dropping rare EPs and old live recordings every Friday.

Since July, Carey has announced the release of her memoir ‘The Meaning Of Mariah Carey’, due September 29, and revealed she’s releasing even more music admitting the process of writing has been “incredibly hard, humbling and healing.”

“Though there have been countless stories about me throughout my career and very public personal life, it’s been impossible to communicate the complexities and depths of my experience in any single magazine article or a ten-minute television interview,” Carey explained in a statement to her website about the book. “And even then, my words were filtered through someone else’s lens, largely satisfying someone else’s assignment to define me. This book is composed of my memories, my mishaps, my struggles, my survival and my songs. Unfiltered. I went deep into my childhood and gave the scared little girl inside of me a big voice. I let the abandoned and ambitious adolescent have her say, and the betrayed woman I became tell her side.”

A book and now a spanish EP!

Last Friday, the songbird dropped Mariah En Español, a seven-song EP that pays tribute to her Venezuelan roots. In it, fans get access to Spanish-language versions of her biggest ’90s hits. Mariah En Español includes “Mi Todo” and “Héroe.”

Carey sings Spanish for fans in this new album even though she doesn’t speak the language fluently.

Speaking about the ambitious undertaking Carey tweeted that “3 covers that I recorded for my original #1’s album and one with Spanish versions I recorded of Hero, Open Arms and My All!” and asked fans to “Please don’t judge my far-from-perfect pronunciation but I tried.”

What magic!
