Mariah Carey Hinted That She Is Open To Collaborating With Lil Nas X

Lil Nas X has made headlines a lot lately. First, he had a song that blew up the country charts called “Old Town Road” with Billy Ray Cyrus. The song showed that the rapper was able to cross over into any genre and make it a success. He then made headlines again when he came out of the closet at the end of Pride month and the world celebrated. Now, Lil Nas X is setting Twitter on fire by suggesting that he and Mariah Carey should do a duet and, well, why not?

Lil Nas X is one of the most talked about musicians right now. Everyone has heard “Old Town Road” and the crossover hit is something we are still bopping to. Somehow, the rapper turned country star made Billy Ray Cyrus relevant again for more than being Miley Cyrus’s dad and that is something to admire.

Now he is asking Mariah Carey to join him for a remix and that just seems perfect. The singer is arguably one of the most talented famous musicians on the planet and her fandom is super dedicated. A hit with Carey is basically a way to immortalize yourself in pop culture.

Carey responded with a title mashing up one of her songs with Lil Nas X’s country hit.

Ummm…who doesn’t want this collab to happen? “One Sweet Day” and “Old Town Road” are two separate hits that we all love. Could you imagine them coming together and spreading their love all over the world?

Billboard shared a list of the longest running top songs and both artists are on the list.

the power between them to make a certified hit would definitely change the course of music history. If Mariah Carey could hold the top spot with 16 weeks and Lil Nas X can come in with 14 weeks, would a collab be the best hit ever? It might be. Who knows? Maybe Carey and Lil Nas X can team up and show us what they are made of.

Fans are already through around possible titles for the remix.

LOL. “Whistle Notes Edition” just sounds like a hit. We all know the iconic whistle notes that Carey has sent out in the universe and adding them to bop like “Old Town Road” just makes sense.

People are already stanning a remix that hasn’t even happened.

Basically, you can get that feeling by listening to the tow artist in the same playlist. We have seen crazier collabs that made so little sense, like Justin Bieber on “Despacito.” Who will ever forget him saying “burrito burrito” during a performance at a bar because he didn’t know the words and somehow that was his best bet?

Btw, Carey is ready to tap back into her country roots.

She already showed us that she has what it takes when the sang “Almost Home” for the “Oz the Great and the Powerful.” The Venezuelan singer clearly understands what it means to do the country thing and we should all be excited of her doing it again.

Lil Nas X fans can’t wait for a remix with Carey.

Her star power would definitely fit well with the rapper. He has built a name for himself and having her attached to one of his projects will only make him bigger and better. Stars supporting stars. That’s what this is all about.

People are begging Carey to make this happen.

We all know that the person who would have to make it happen is her. He is on board and so are his fans. We need just need her people to approve this project and get the ball rolling.

And, despite all of the excitement, it has made some people so excited that they’re confused.

We don’t know what is going on, but we ship it and approve it. Please make this happen, you two.

Mariah Carey Got Her First Dose Of The Vaccine And Made It Into An Iconic Moment

Vaccines are rolling out across the country. People are getting their shots so life can finally start getting back to normal after a year of quarantining and social distancing. Mariah Carey let her fans join on her first shot and it became iconic.

Mariah Carey got her first shot of the vaccine and hit that whistle note.

More and more Americans are finally getting vaccinated to get the world back to normal. More than 160 million vaccines have been given in the U.S. and people are starting to see the results. Life is slowly getting back to normal for families who haven’t seen each other in years.

The singer was “excited and nervous a little bit” about getting the vaccine. Her demeanor showed just how impactful it is for people to do their part to get us back to normal.

True to form, Carey was in her camera-ready pose when she was getting ready.

People receiving the vaccine are told to keep their arm relaxed but Carey clearly isn’t made for that. How do you just turn off your star charisma?

It’s important to keep your arm relaxed while you are getting your vaccination to save you from the pain. If your arm is tense or in an awkward position, it is more likely to move during the jab, which can be painful. Listen to your nurses.

Some people are very curious how someone so young got the vaccine.

President Joe Biden announced that all states must make vaccine eligibility open to all adults by April 19. Some states are allowing people as young as 16 to get vaccinated. This is an accelerated deadline from the previously called for May 1. President Biden has worked hard to push the vaccination rate up and he has delivered on his promises for various vaccination deadlines.

People want to know if the vocal skills are a side effect of the vaccine.

There are a lot of conspiracy theories circulating about the vaccine. Some people believe that Bill Gates is microchipping them using the vaccine. It is a conspiracy that persists despite people definitively debunking the theory.

Congratulations, Mariah!

The world is eager to get back to normal and the vaccination rollout across the world is going to get us there. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is slowly releasing new guidelines about what fully vaccinated people are able to do.

For example, it is safe for fully vaccinated people to gather in small groups indoors without masks and social distancing. Fully vaccinated people can also fly on airplanes without much risk because of the effectiveness of the vaccine.

Nike Gets Temporary Restraining Order Against Lil Nas X’s ‘Satan Shoes’

Updated April 1, 2021

Rapper and singer Lil Nas X jumped headfirst into the pool controversy this week. After setting the internet on fire recently with his latest single, the rapper ramped up the heat with a new shoe line called Satan Shoes. Featuring a bronze pentagram, an inverted cross, and a drop of real human blood, the shoes by Lil Nas sold out almost immediately.

It also launched a wave of comments and criticism.

The black and red sneakers came from a collaboration with Lil Nas X and New York-based art collective MSCHF.

The shoes were made with Nike Air Max 97s. Since the release, however, Nike has come forth to distance itself from the limited-edition design which dropped 666 pairs sold out in less than a minute. The shoes were priced at $1,018 a number that refers to the Bible passage Luke 10:18 which reads “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.”

Each shoe has an air bubble sole that contains 60 cubic centimeters (2.03 fluid ounces) of red ink and according to MSCHF “one drop” of human blood. According to MSCHF spokesperson, the blood was provided by members of the art collective. “We love to sacrifice for our art,” he stated.

In a statement about the shoes, Nike said it was not involved in producing the modified sneakers.

“We do not have a relationship with Lil Nas or MSCHF,” the company said in an email to CNN. “Nike did not design or release these shoes and we do not endorse them.”

In response to the shoes, Nike requested a temporary restraining order.

On Thursday, a judge sided with Nike’s request for our temporary restraining order against the unofficial sneakers.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Nike is accusing the “Satan shoes” of damaging the company’s professional reputation. In reaction to the shoes, many consumers who believed them to be an official release threatened to boycott the company. While Nike did not sue the art collective over their “Jesus shoe” which was another unofficial Nike Air Max 97 shoe according to THR “Nike has left open the possibility of amending its complaint to include a claim over Jesus shoes too.”

Of course it didn’t take long for the shoes to spark outrage online.

Political and religious figures, like South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem and the evangelical pastor Mark Burns, were quick to chime in with their opinions about the shoes. In a tweet about the shoes, Burns called them “evil” and “heresy.”

Many fans of Lil Nas meanwhile, tweeted their support, however.

In response to the backlash around the shoe Lil Nas posted a video to his official YouTube account titled “Lil Nas X Apologizes for Satan Shoe.” The video has already been viewed over 1.8 million times and after a few seconds the “apology” cuts to a scene from the rapper’s latest music video, “Montero (Call Me By Your Name).” The video shows him dancing with a devil character. At one point the rapper snaps the devil’s neck and taking his horned crown for himself to wear.

Lil Nas X responded to the backlash over the music video’s rebellious religious imagery stating “I spent my entire teenage years hating myself because of the s**t y’all preached would happen to me because i was gay… So i hope u are mad, stay mad, feel the same anger you teach us to have towards ourselves.”
