The highly-anticipated fight between Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. was expected to be a classic Mexican boxing war, with both fighters trading shots to see who deserved bragging rights. Instead, it turned out to be a one-sided affair that showed Chavez Jr.’s size and reach advantage was no match for Alvarez, who controlled the fight from beginning to end.
From round one, Canelo was in charge:

Several times, it looked like Chavez wasn’t sure how to fight back.

As the fight progressed, it became clear that Chavez Jr. was out of his depth.

It also became clear that Chavez Jr. did not have the same fire in his belly that Chavez Sr. did.

Which led to this savage proclamation:

Once the final bell sounded, the result was a foregone conclusion.
Alvarez scored a unanimous decision, winning every round, 120 to 108.
Chavez Jr. probably felt relieved it was over.
During the post-fight interview, Canelo revealed who his next opponent would be. “Golovkin, you are next my friend,” said Canelo. Moments later, Gennady “GGG” Golovkin, made his way to the ring.

GGG and Canelo faced off in the ring and confirmed their fight was a done deal. GGG wished Canelo luck. Canelo replied: “La suerte es para los mediocres.”

Translation: “Luck is for the mediocre.”
Canelo’s trash talk made everyone forget about Chavez Jr.’s poor display.

For some, the Canelo-GGG action was enough to make them forget they spent money on a one-sided fight.
That GGG v Canelo announcement was worth the $65
