Donald Trump’s Cameo Got Cut From A Broadcast Of ‘Home Alone 2’ And POTUS Is Muy Encabronado

Oh, the holidays! It is a time to enjoy the company of family and friends, eat como si no hubiera consecuencias, sleep late and watch classic Christmas movies. Undoubtedly, one of these iconic films is Home Alone (your abuelita might know it as Mi pobre angelito, which means My Poor Little Angel, as it was weirdly titled in Spanish!), and of course its sequel, which takes place in the very Christmasy New York City.

These two movies are a common fixture in the holiday entertainment menu, and it is common for public broadcasters worldwide to air them every year. Well, Canada’s public broadcaster just aired it, as it has done since 2014, but this year was different as their programming choice triggered the far-right’s anger and Donald Trump’s ego.

Yes, there is a Donald J Trump cameo in Home Alone 2, and the reason will definitely not surprise you (spoiler alert, it has to do with Trump’s legendary ego.)

The scene sees the little rascal ask for directions to a middle-aged man in the lobby of the Plaza Hotel in New York. That man turns out to be no other than Donald J Trump, who was then a famous and controversial real estate mogul and owner of the hotel. Trump tells Kevin just a simple phrase: “down the hall and to the left.”

The story goes that Trump had one condition for director Chris Columbus if he wished to shoot the sequel to his surprisingly hit movie: the now President of the United States would have to have a brief appearance in the film. Back then in 1992 no one would have imagined that Trump would years later hold the most powerful political position in the world. Las vueltas que da la vida.

Well, in a recent broadcast the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) cut the Trump cameo completely. And, oh yes, people did notice. Oh, Canada!

The public broadcaster aired the movie as part of its Christmas season. There was a change that people noticed, commented upon and got Trump’s conservative base riled up. The CBC cut the scene depicting the interaction between Trump and Kevin. This led to anger from Trump’s son, Donald Jr, who said: “”Pathetic: Canada’s CBC under fire when Trump’s cameo in ‘Home Alone 2’ disappears from Christmas broadcast.”

The broadcaster explained that they had axed over 8 minutes of the film in total, including the now infamous scene, to be able to include commercials. This is a reasonable explanation and a common practice by broadcasters. Added to this, the scene does not really move the plot forward at all and to be honest stands out like a sore thumb in the narrative. But we all know by now that Trump’s base does not always listen to reason. It seems that the far-right media is fishing for content to support their theories that the left and the entertainment industry at large are colluded.

As stated by The Guardian: “The film aired without Trump’s cameo on CBC earlier this month, but the edit was later picked up by right-wing news outlets, sparking fury among the president’s supporters.”

And, of course, Trump took to Twitter to complain.

Yes, we are not kidding. This further fed the fire of the far-right, as he retweeted an article that called this move, which as we said is common practice by broadcasters, “censorship.”

Now, it is not as if Trump had spoken about politics or race or anything important. Unless he was revealing secret Marxist tendencies by saying “down the hall and to the left”? Is “to the left” a cryptic message? Nah, we are not going all X-Files on you, we are just kidding.

The explanation is much more simple, as reiterated by the CBC in their website: “The scene with Donald Trump was one of several that were cut from the movie as none of them were integral to the plot. These edits were done in 2014, when we first acquired the film and before Mr Trump was elected president”. So no tres pies en el gato there, Mr President.

And Trump even had a go at Justin Trudeau, the Prime Minister of Canada!

He blamed, of all people, the Prime Minister of Canada, with whom he shares an roller coaster of a political relationship. He tweeted: “I guess Justin T doesn’t much like my making him pay up on NATO or Trade!”. What, really? Well, one thing we can’t deny is that Trump is masterful when it comes to making everything about himself and talking politics even at the slightest alleged provocation. Ver para creer.

Latinos For Trump Posted A Collage Of Flag For Hispanic Heritage Month And Got Some Wrong

Latinos For Trump Posted A Collage Of Flag For Hispanic Heritage Month And Got Some Wrong

Latinos for Trump has long been a confusing organization in the Latino community. President Donald Trump has built his administration and brand to be squarely against people of color. Now, the Latinos for Trump group caused a stir when they posted a collage of flags that are not quite right.

Latinos for Trump really thought they had something when they posted their Hispanic Heritage Month collage.

The first, and most obvious mistake, is that the Mexican flag is backwards. The flag is supposed to be green, white, and red in that order. As we can all see, the collage has a Mexican flag that is red, white, and green. The eagle is even facing the wrong way so someone literally flipped the flag the wrong way.

Of course, some people tried to make sense of the bizarre Mexican flag snafu.

Last year, the Trump administration announced that it was cutting aid to three countries in Central America. The countries were El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala. Fox & Friends picked up the story but told their audience that Trump was cutting aid to “3 Mexican countries.” Perhaps this Twitter user is right and the Latinos for Trump are trying to suggest the existence of other Mexicos.

Someone else pointed out the issues with the Guatemalan flag in the top right corner.

People are very defensive about their cultural heritage and national origin. Messing up someone’s flag is a very serious issue for people. Just ask a Cuban or Puerto Rican about people confusing their flags. It is never a good thing.

Some people fixed the image for them so the organization can see what it should have looked like.

Good, clean lines with all of the flags facing the right way. The creator even changed the message in the middle for the Latino community. It is clear that social media is still willing to show up and teach a couple of lessons here and there.

Others had a more direct message for Latinos for Trump.

We all know that social media is where things go to be manipulated and made fun of. It is very important that if you make something for social media that you take good care to make sure that you check all of the right boxes and execute your work right the first time.

Michael Cohen’s New Tell-All Book Talks About Trump’s Scandalous Golden Shower Moment And His Hair Secrets

Things That Matter

By now, we’re pretty certain the Trumps have had their fill of scandalous tell-all books. After all, each one seems to published by former members of their inner circle who no longer want to be the keepers of their dirty laundry. In the weeks leading up to the upcoming election, the Trumps have seen some of their worst secrets and darkest moments spilled by family members and ex- BFFs. Now, the president’s former “fixer” Michael Cohen is taking a jab at yanking out the skeleton’s in Donald Trump’s closet.

In his latest book Disloyal: A Memoir Cohen tallies of an insane list of “dirty deeds” which he claims he performed for Trump. And of course, while Cohen is a man whose credibility has been tainted various times, we couldn’t help but take a peek at the dirty Trump laundry he’s airing out in the book. Particularly because he started writing it while in prison after pleading guilty to criminal lies and financial crimes carried out on Trump’s behalf.

Check out the book’s biggest spills below!

Trump isn’t a big fan of his own son Donald Jr.

In his book, Cohen writes about Trump’s frequent dismissals of his eldest child son Donald Jr. “Over time, I would come to learn that his father held him in extremely low esteem,” Cohen writes in his book recalling a moment in which Trump had been getting ready for a cameo at a WWE wrestling event when his son asked him if he was nervous.

“I’m going in front of millions of people. What kind of stupid fucking question is that? Get out of here,” Cohen recalled of the moment Trump made his son leave the room. “That kid has the worst fucking judgment of anyone I have ever met. What a stupid thing to say — to put that thought in my head.”

Cohen thinks Trump is a pretty big racist.

“The Trumps were actually racist,” Cohen writes about Trump and his father Fred. “As a rule, Trump expressed low opinions of all black folks,” Cohen recalled in the book. “What he said in private was far worse than what he uttered in public.”

In his book, Cohen also claimed that Trump criticized countries led by Black leaders the moment Barack Obama became elected president.

“Tell me one country run by a black person that isn’t a shithole,” Trump asked Cohen. “They are all complete fucking toilets.”

“South Africa was once a beautiful country twenty, thirty years ago,” Cohen claimed Trump said. “Mandela fucked the whole country up. Now it’s a shithole. Fuck Mandela. He was no leader.”

Trump is extremely jealous of Barack Obama.

Which we all knew but this bit below is particularly hilarious.

“Watching Obama’s Inauguration in 2008 with Trump, with the massive, adoring, joyful crowd on the Mall, incensed the Boss in a way I’d never seen before — he was literally losing his mind watching a handsome and self-evidently brilliant young black man take over,” Cohen wrote in the memoir. “When Obama won the Nobel Prize, Trump went ballistic.”

Trump’s hair myths are worse than you thought.

According to Cohen, Trump’s bizarre hairstyle is a result of a botched scalp surgery. Cohen alleges in his book that a hair-implant operation in the 1980s disfigured Trump’s scalp. Apparently, to hide his scars, he uses his hair (which when undone) hangs down below his shoulder on the right side.

“The three-step procedure required a flop up of the hair from the back of his head, followed by the flip of the resulting overhang on the back of his pate, and then the flap of his combover on the right side, providing three layers of thinly disguised balding-male insecurity,” Cohen writes.

Cohen says Trump really did get a golden shower

Cohen admits that he and the president attended a strip show in Las Vegas where an act “involved two strippers drinking champagne and pretending to snort coke as they undressed, while one of them simulated giving the other a golden shower as the other caught the fake urine and drank it.”

Cohen claims in his book that he didn’t witness that part of the show personally but that it was performed that night after seeing it on the club’s Facebook page.

He also says that he doesn’t know what happened at the Miss Universe pageant in Moscow in 2013. There the notorious “dossier” alleged Trump hosted strippers who peed on each other in his hotel room as part of a performance. Of course, Trump denies this ever happened.
