Cardi B Takes To Instagram To Share A Heartfelt Message About Her Late Abuelita

Yesterday, Cardi B took to Instagram to share a short message with her fans about her late abuela who died on November 11, 2011. The “I Like It” singer shared a coincidence with her fans that she believed had a divine meaning to it.

Just last month a video surfaced of Cardi B dancing merengue at her other grandmother’s 80th birthday party in the Dominican Republic the night before headling the Austin City Limits Festival. Needless to say, the Caribbean artist seems close to her family and elders.

Cardi B shares a message “from” late grandmother with her fans.

“Good morning guys. My grandma passed away 11-11-11. I look down on my phone is 11:11. I know for a fact she watching me.Thank you, Lord, for them small little messages that let me know you real,” Cardi B wrote in the Instagram caption.

Cardi B believes seeing the time 11:11 corresponds with the date of her late grandmother’s death on November 11, 2011. While little is known about the circumstances of her grandmother’s passing, fans on social media showed their support.

“Those are power numbers aka master numbers ✨ she for sure is your guardian angel, and in that moment she was sending u a message. Listen, pay attention and stay woke. Keep on manifesting all your blessings,” actress and singer Jessenia Gallegos wrote to the “Bodak Yellow” rapper.

Many believe that the numbers 1111 are “angel numbers” or scared in some way. Cardi’s sister Hennessy Carolina chimed in with “I miss her soo much.”

“Angel numbers are SO real. It’s what led me to Tarot reading. After one of my best friends passed, she sent me 444 and hummingbirds all the time. Our angels and spirit guides are always with us,” Chris Crocker told Cardi on Instagram.

“I’m so sorry for your loss may God bless you and your family. She’s definitely watching over you and is proud of the legend your becoming,” songwriter Swazy Styles wrote in the comments.

1111 does have some ties to biblical meanings.

According to AngelNumber.org, for thousands of years, many people believed that one way God speaks to people is through numbers.

In the Bible, Jacob travels with his 11 sons, in Luke 11:11 the Father is discovered to be more benevolent than the Old Testament describes.

“Number 1111 is considered to be a symbol of a wake-up call and spiritual awakening. If this number enters your life and if you see it everywhere, it is a sign that God is calling you. It is necessary to find your spiritual path and to follow it. You need to focus more on your spiritual growth and you need to realize that material things don’t have any importance in your life,” the website claims.

Judging from the response that Cardi got from fans and friends, many people still believe there’s a little more to 1111 than meets the eye. True or not — it probably brings comfort to plenty of people to think seeing 1111 means their God might be calling them to a greater purpose.

Cardi B has been open about her Catholic faith.

“If you know me, you know that I have this deep connection to God,” Cardi B said on the Rickey Smiley Morning Show in 2017. “Is it crazy for me to say that I used to ask God to please help me? The strip club really helped me. I can say that it saved me…God put that in my way.”

In “Does God Listen to Cardi B?” columnist Brandi Miller highlights how many women in the Bible are more like Cardi than many Christians would care to share, but just as women who take pride in their sexuality today, those examples in the Bibles aren’t so revered.

“The Bible is full of people who have stories that look a lot like Cardi B’s. Ester is a concubine in a king’s court and after winning a sexualized royal beauty pageant is honored for saving the Jews from genocide,” Miller wrote. “Paul and his gang of “thugs” initially murdered Christians, and we now call Paul a father of the faith. David is an arrogant man with a multitude of sins, and we have no problem touting him as a ‘man after God’s own heart.'”

Regardless of whatever 1111 or Christianity means to you, for Cardi B her success and her family seem inseparable from her spirituality no matter how she chooses to observe it.

“If I was to see Jesus Christ… I would kiss his feet. I wish I could give God a hug, bro,” she said on Instagram in 2018.

Cardi B Makes History As First Female Rapper To Cover Vogue U.S. And Talks About Donald Trump And Stripping

In her short, but vastly successful career Cardi B has accomplished many a firsts. Back in January of 2018, Cardi B became the first woman to have five top 10 singles on both the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop chart at the same time. Then, in July 2018, with the debut of her fourth single “I Like It,” the rapper became the first female rapper to achieve multiple chart-toppers when she rose and clinched the number one spot on the Hot 100. Later that same year in October, with the release of Invasion of Privacy, she became the first female artist to have all of her songs from one single album certified gold or higher in the United States. This month, Cardi B’s debut on the cover of Vogue U.S. marks another first for the Dominican Trinidadian rapper.

On Monday, Vogue sneak peaked a digital preview of its January 2020 cover series. The cover marks the first time a rapper graced the cover of the Vogue U.S.

Vogue is bringing the heat for January with not one but four — and then some — marvelous cover stars. The smallest of them all is Cardi B’s one-year-old daughter, Kulture Cephus, whose modeling skills are proving to rival even her famous mom. The spread is just about all that Twitter is talking about, and we can’t get enough.

For her feature, La Caldi spoke about managing her temper and finding peace in her own appreciation for her work.

The rapper, who has managed to go viral on more than one occasion for her devastating and savage clap backs and rants on Twitter and Instagram in the recent past, says she’s actually a pretty “calm” person these days

“I’m the type of person now who like, if we talk about things and settle things, I will do that,” the rapper explained to Vogue while also sharing that she has become better at ignoring accusations about her former career as a dancer. “I just hate when people be like, oh, you used to be a stripper, so you’re a prostitute, you used to fuck guys. I never used to fuck guys. The thing about it is, when you’re known as a stripper that fucks guys for money, everybody hates you because you’re fucking up the game. You’re making guys expect more than what you should be giving, and the next bitch pays for it. I don’t have to give guys no ass. You want something from me? I want something from you. I want your money, you want my time. So I’m just gonna give you time. Once you start expecting more, my phone number’s disconnected. Bye.”

Touching more about her experiences with her attitude and outlook on life and how to handle, Cardi B admits in her interview that she had to climb herself out of a sinkhole to get to this point- and that her climb has been pretty steep.

Fans, of the rapper already know that Cardi B turned to stripping during a low point in her life. She’d been kicked out of her family home because she was fighting with her sister and moved in with her boyfriend at the time and his mother. “My boyfriend kept cheating on me. He and I used to get into arguments, hitting each other a lot. Girls like to say, ‘I will beat a nigga’s ass.’ I used to have that mentality,” she explained. “I used to hit my first boyfriend until he started hitting me back and it just got out of control. But I started stripping, and I made enough money to move out.”

Still, the rapper was quick to reveal that, though she’s been able to control her outrage more recently, she still has extremely negative and strong opinions about our president.

Cardi, who in recent months has expressed her staunch support for presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders, says that she understands Trump more than most.   “I feel like not any of these Democrats have a really strong support base—I’m gonna say a fan base, because it’s almost like a fan base, what Trump has,” she told the outlet. “Because he was an entertainer, Trump knows how to get them to keep on talking about him. All these little antics that he do, like get into arguments with Chrissy Teigen, it’s just techniques to get attention. And I get that. You like a certain artist that do crazy shit. But this person is in charge of our country. This person is in charge of our well-being. When it comes to my president, I want my president to be, like, extremely holy. That is the person I want to look up to. I don’t want my president to have any hatred toward a certain type of people. I don’t want my president to be arguing with freaking celebrities or caring what people think of him. I want my president to tell me an answer on shit that.”

Fans Grow Frustrated With Cardi B After She Once Again Defends Offset From Cheating Allegations

UMG Recordings, Inc.

We all know by now that Cardi B isn’t shy when it comes to talking about her relationship with offset. This time, she was addressing yet another round of cheating allegations that have been leveled at her husband. On Tuesday, Cardi B took to Instagram live to set the record straight about the latest incident in the long line of drama the couple has been involved in.

It all started on Tuesday, when Tekashi 6ix9ine’s girlfriend Sarah “Jade” Wattley revealed on Instagram that she was receiving DMs from Offset, one of which read “miss you fr [sic]”. Wattley, for her part was not impressed, captioning the post: “Your wife Cardi B has an open criminal case. Why are you writing me[?]”. In case you need a refresher, Wattley is one of the women that has accused Cardi of assaulting her outside a strip club.

But according to both Offset and Cardi, the entire DM exchange was a result of his Instagram account being hacked.

After Wattley shared Offset’s DMs with her followers, later that night a series of sexually explicit and offensive Tweets were posted on Offset’s Twitter account. The tweets were so outrageous that it became obvious to many Twitter users that Offset was not the one writing them. The logical conclusion was to believe that, he had, indeed, been hacked.

But, some critics have been quick to point out that the timing of the very out-of-character Tweets from Offset seemed to be a little too convenient. There has even been some speculation that Offset staged the offensive tweets in order to cover up his transgressions. As one observant Twitter user observed: “Offset sent the DM at 1:36AM and [Wattley] posted it at 2:30PM. Then he got “hacked” at 2:35PM…He should have gotten the tweets off right after he sent the DM”.

Cardi, for her part, didn’t seem to be taking the entire debacle too seriously.

The 27-year-old “Clout” rapper got on IG live (along with Offset  and Kulture) to address her fans. Looking a little disheveled and more than a little sleepy, Cardi took turns addressing both the camera and her husband. In a statement that seemed to be pretty supportive of her husband and trusting of his actions, she said:

“Hey guys, so as you can see, this guy’s Instagram has been hacked,” she said. “I know babe, you’ve done some dumb shit. Everybody knows he’s done some dumb shit. But come on now, [he’s] not dumb, he’s not crazy, we’ve been so good, we had a sweet weekend, our life has been good, he’s not going to play himself like that. That’s why I’m not going to entertain that, that’s why I’m not getting rowdy. Simple as that”.

This latest scandal is simply another addition to the dramatic chronicles of Offset and Cardi.

Not did Offset admit to being unfaithful to Cardi, but Cardi B felt that she needed to retaliate against the women with whom he cheated with. In August of 2018, Cardi was allegedly involved in a premeditated violent altercation outside Angels NYC Strip Club–an altercation that left Cardi facing two felony counts

Unsurprisingly, the reaction to Cardi B’s Instagram video defending Offset has been mixed. A lot of people are fed up with Cardi defending a man who has, historically, treated her with little respect.

And as with most scandals that involved Belcalis Almanzar, Twitter has not hesitated to air their thoughts on Cardi’s handling of another cheating scandal.

Because Cardi has been so previously open with her personal life, many people feel invested in her personal life to the degree where they want to comment on it publicly. And a lot of people don’t think Cardi is making the smartest decision by sticking by Offset.

This person believes that Cardi may be defending Offset because she’s tired of the drama.

A lot of us have been in this type of situation before.

This person was not about all the Tweets calling Cardi a “clown” for staying with Offset

It is frustrating that Cardi is the one that’s being made fun of when Offset is the one who has admitted to being unfaithful before.

This person felt the need to defend their frustration with Cardi:

It can be frustrating to see a celebrity you admire so much act in a way that you don’t agree with.

And of course, there were the obligatory memes about the entire situation:

Sometimes, all you can do is laugh.
