Cardi B’s Teacher Clapped Back At All The People Questioning Her Ability To Understand Government

It’s perfectly fine for anyone to express their opinion about today’s political climate, even celebrities. Some celebs, however, speak more sense than others. One personality who has never shied away from voicing their opinion is Cardi B. While people may have disregarded her during her early days as a reality tv star, now that’s she’s a full-fledged celebrity, she’s getting people’s attention. Whether she’s advocating for former NFL player Colin Kaepernick or rapper 21 Savage, the Bronx rapper knows more than a thing or two about injustices in this country — including how our government works.

People shouldn’t second guess Cardi B’s political views, just ask her AP government teacher who is backing her up by saying she is more than qualified to speak on the topic.

Cardi’s AP teacher at Renaissance High School for Musical Theater and the Arts in the Bronx told her haters to not only shut up but educated them on the rapper’s test stats.

“She probably scored higher than you on the US History Regents exam and was in my AP govt class,” Joan Hill shared on social media. “What have you done to advance political discourse in this country?… She has a national platform and is using it to speak about things that are important…why can’t we respect that? d) STFU and take a seat.”

Damn!

People on social media are applauding Cardi’s teacher for standing up for her.

It’s so awesome to know that even a young Cardi had the support she needed. Now we know why she’ll never back down from fighting against the haters and supporting her friends.

It all started when Cardi B demanded the president reopen the government and voiced legit reasons why.

Some people — mostly conservative talking heads — blasted the rapper for speaking about topics she didn’t know. But the thing is, she knows exactly what she’s talking about.

“I just wanna remind you that it’s been a little bit over three weeks,” she says in the video. “Trump is now ordering … federal government workers to go back to work without getting paid. … This is serious. Our country is in a hellhole right now. All for a…wall.”

Democratic lawmakers agreed with her views 100 percent.

People found her voice refreshing on the matter, primarily because she broke it down openly and honestly. A group of lawmakers in Iowa found her take so vital that they invited the artist to speak at a “reception of her choice.”

“We reached out to her because she speaks to the new activism in the Democratic Party and has a national audience that many leaders could only dream of, ” Sean Bagniewski, chair of the Polk County Democrats, told NBC News.

Cardi is considering it too.

Of course, there are the naysayers who said Cardi B should stick to rapping.

Cardi B quickly put this lady in check and threatened by tweeting at her “Leave me alone don’t make me dog walk you.”

The rapper was quick to point out that her views are bipartisan and are for the people.

“All these conservatives been harassing me and telling me the most disgusting things these past few days. Listen I’m not telling ya to turn liberal all I’m saying is to admit that your president is fuckin up this country right now! Liberal or conservative we ALL suffer as citizens,” she tweeted.

You may have heard of Olivia Rodrigo, the 17-year-old Disney Channel actress who has recently take the music industry by storm with the success of her debut single, “Driver’s License”.

Well you wouldn’t be the only one who is thinking about her. Recently, Cardi B tweeted about the viral song, namely lamenting over the fact that she does not have her driver’s license.

On Tuesday, Cardi tweeted out her frustration about the fact that she has to rely on other people to fulfill her late-night McDonald’s cravings.

“Just like that girl [who] wrote a song about getting her driver’s license, Imma write a song about the struggle of not having a drivers license,” she wrote. “I really wanted my McDonald’s at 4am last night instead of today, but I couldn’t so I felt asleep hungry.” More relatable words have never been spoken, tbh.

Shocked that the Bronx-born rapper even knows who she is, Rodrigo tweeted a response back at Cardi.

“Girl i will pick u up and take u wherever u wanna go,” Rodrigo wrote back.

Cardi, for her part, seemed excited to find a driver to take her on late-night McDonald’s runs. She wrote back: “Yaaayyy!!! Let’s go to McDonald’s and get happy meals!”

Cue the influx of Twitter stans demanding a future Olivia Rodrigo x Cardi B collab.

Olivia Rodrigo is just as surprised about “Driver’s License” success as everyone else is.

Rodrigo recently told Billboard that this past week, when “Driver’s License” shot to No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart has been “the weirdest week of my whole life.”

Rodrigo was a relatively unknown Disney Channel star on Disney+’s “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” before this song hit the airwaves. Now she’s a pop sensation.

“So many people that I look up to have reached out and expressed their love for the song, which is absolutely surreal,” she told Billboard. But I truly am just the same 17-year-old girl, doing statistics homework in my bedroom.”

While many people are wondering what Rodrigo’s background is, she is proudly half-Filipino.

While some people have mistakenly called Olivia Rodriguez Latina, she is actually of Filipino descent, just like previous “High School Musical” star, Vanessa Hudgens. Just like Latin American countries, the Philippines were colonized by Spain–that is why so many people of Filipino descent have Spanish-sounding last names.

Rodrigo has talked at length about her cultural and familial roots. “My great-grandfather immigrated here from the Philippines when he was just a teenager. He’s my grandma’s dad, and my grandpa is also Filipino as well,” Rodrigo revealed in an interview with the Center for Asian American Media back in 2018.

“My dad grew up in a house where they were always making Filipino food, his grandpa always spoke Tagalog. All of those traditions have trickled down to our generation.”
