It seems like everyone one wants a piece of Cardi B, but even she admits that the life is not as glamours as it might seem. In fact, it’s straight up rough despite the money and fame. So, when asked if she’d be ever perform at the Super Bowl game. Cardi B was confronted by reporters as she left the Maxim Party in Minneapolis on Saturday as part of the pre-Super Bowl festivities. She might not be as politically active as some celebrities, but she’s made it very clear where she stands with the NFL because of Colin Kaepernick.
Cardi B told reporters that she will only perform at the Super Bowl if they rehire Colin Kaepernick.
Cardi B has been very vocal about her support for Colin Kaepernick. At the MTV VMA’s last year, she gave the ousted player a shout out in support for his commitment to the Black Lives Matter movement.
“Colin Kaepernick, as long as you kneel with us, we gonna be standing for you baby,” Cardi B said.
Cardi B did use her star power for the Super Bowl in an ad for Amazon.
But that’s as far as she’ll go for now when it comes to the Super Bowl. She was hilarious as the new voice of Alexa, which means we’ve only seen a little of all that Cardi can do.
While the rising star is lining up appearance after appearance and making political statements she believes in, Cardi B says she misses the old days.
Even with all of her talents, she feels like she has lost her own autonomy, according to CR Fashion Book.
In a vulnerable interview, Cardi B says she’s not as happy as she used to be.
“Even though I’m happy, I feel like I was a little bit happier two or three years ago when I had less money,” Cardi B said in an interview with CR Fashion Book. “I had less people who had opinions about my life. I felt like my life was mine. Now I feel like I don’t even own my life.” And added, “I feel like the world owns me.”
We can’t imagine what she might be going through, but we know the limelight can be harsh at time. We just hope she continues being her fun-loving self, but will support her no matter what.
