Cardi B Posted An Almost Nude Video, Madonna Whipped Maluma, And Other Wild Billboard Award Moments

This year’s Billboard Music Awards show was popping and it was more than just the show. The celebrities went all out in some of the most extreme ways and it was all caught on social media. Cardi B led the pack with 21 nominations, making it the biggest opportunity for Latino wins yet. Drake swept the awards taking home 12 awards to bring his net total to 27 Billboard awards, breaking Taylor Swift’s record. BTS was everywhere talking to everyone including Becky G. We can’t forget Mariah Carey’s speech about all of the drama she experienced in her career.

The two-hour red carpet pre-show got real steamy, thanks to Cardi B and husband, Offset.

The two had a brief split in late 2018 but they’re hotter than ever after the release of R-rated music video “Clout,” which now has over 55 million views on YouTube.

Fans were shook to see Cardi’s killer abs, less than a year after giving birth.

Our first thought was, ‘dang, that’s an incredible contouring job.’ Pero, no. From every angle, Cardi is ripped, and you didn’t see the BBMA’s if you didn’t revel in Cardi’s abs.

Becky G revealed that she’s working on her Spanish language album and an English EP.

“I am working on my Spanish album at the moment and I’m also working on my English EP. So I have both worlds going on at the same time, and living in both worlds simultaneously my whole life. It’s challenging as an artist.” -Becky G

After an explicit red carpet photo went viral, Cardi gave the class an anatomy lesson backstage.

@iamcardib / Twitter

She posted a nearly nude video to set the record straight, all while shouting, “Motherf**kers going showing this f**king picture, now you’re all photoshopping it even more like, ‘Cardi pussy, Cardi pussy.’ First of all, that ain’t my pussy. My pussy right here. This is where I birthed my daughter from. This right here, you know the part that shows when I go like this, that’s just my a**!”

Thank you, Cardi, for this valuable lesson that we all enjoyed.

Kelly Clarkson performed covers of both “MIA” by Bad Bunny and “I Like It” by Cardi B.

After show opener, Taylor Swift performed “ME!,” we witnessed Kelly Clarkson covering a slew of top hits from 2018, including Spanish language music. While it’s great that Latin music is becoming more mainstream, we wonder where Clarkson received the invitation to cover these songs. Bad Bunny invited Drake to collaborate and we got a viral sensation. What are your thoughts on a white country singer singing viral Latin hits at the BBMAs? Comment below.

Madonna and Maluma performed their new collaboration “Medellín” on stage with the help of some holograms.

The performance was fine until things got a little questionable. During the show, Madonna produces a riding crop and started to play with Maluma in a way that would make our parents gasp and cover our adult eyes.

But, what do you expect from the song that showed Madonna licking Maluma’s toes in the music video?

Ozuna swept the Latin-specific Billboard Music Awards.

Ozuna was nominated for five awards and took home three! The Top Latin Song of the year was, no surprise, “Te Boté (Remix). His album, Aura, also won the Latin Album of the year and all of the above earned him Latin Artist of the year! Felicidades, Ozuna!

Cardi took home six Billboard awards.

In a contentious battle between Cardi and Nicki Minaj, Cardi took home the Rap Female Artist award for the second year in a row. Sensational “I Like It” earned her the top Rap Song award and “Girls Like You” won her the Hot 100 Song, Collaboration, Radio Song and Top Selling Song awards. Maroon 5 was not present at the ceremony and Cardi happily accepted all four trophies on everyone’s behalf.

During Cardi’s acceptance speech for Top Rap Song, the audience couldn’t hold back their applause.

Cardi began her acceptance speech by telling the world that the trophy belongs to her fans… “the gang, gang, gang.” As the crowd roared in applause, she had to tell them she wasn’t finished yet.

“I know y’all love me. If you got a favorite artist, support them. Stream their music. Listen to their music. Tell a friend to tell a friend about their music to get them on the chart, an upcoming artist or artists that’s already out there. Support their music. Be the biggest fan that you can be.”

Mariah Carey took home the Icon Award, but not before performing a medley of her most iconic songs through the decades.

In an emotional acceptance speech, Carey bared it all:

“I still feel like that lost interracial child who had a lot of nerve to believe I could succeed at anything at all in this world. But I did believe, because I had to.

I want to thank all the people who’ve been with me on this journey through the highs and lows, through the struggles –through your struggles and mine. To anybody who doesn’t allow themselves to be broken, and keeps getting up, and keeps holding on, and keeps standing tall, and keeps on believing, and keeps rising, I celebrate you tonight. And to anyone who’s ever told me that a song I wrote helped save your life, I thank you because you saved mine, and I’ll be eternally grateful.”

Mariah Carey Says Derek Jeter Is The Reason Why She Left Her Ex-Husband

Mariah Carey Says Derek Jeter Is The Reason Why She Left Her Ex-Husband

"Jimmy Kimmel Live!" / ABC

Mariah Carey’s personal life has always been about as elusive as the chanteuse’s voice itself. Throughout her decades-long career, fans of the singer have wondered about the men who fall at her feet. From her two marriages to different engagements, even a mysterious potential romantic tête-à-tête with Eminem, Carey has had a life filled with all kinds of loves and relationships but for the most part, kept her lips sealed about them.

Now, the singer is opening up about them.

In an exclusive clip from The Oprah Conversation, Carey revealed that a relationship with New York Yankee Derek Jeter in the late ’90s led her to leave her ex Tommy Mottola.

Speaking about Jeter, Carey described him as a “catalyst” in her decision to leave Mottola after being married to him for five years.

“Before you divorced Tommy Mottola, you met Yankee baseball player Derek Jeter, and you say he served a very high purpose in your life,” Oprah observes in her interview with Carey which calls on her upcoming memoir The Meaning of Mariah Carey. “This was one of those situations of the right person at the right place and the right time. What was it about Derek? He got his own song too, right?”

Responding to Oprah’s question, Carey admits “He got his own song. He got a few songs. He was a catalyst that helped me get out of that relationship because I believed that there was somebody else,” she explained “It was the racial situation, his mom is Irish, his dad is Black. But he was also very ambiguous looking to me. I didn’t know who he was, we met and I’ve written songs about it.”

“And honestly, I don’t think it was like, ‘Oh my gosh, he was the love of my life,'” Carey went onto admit. “Like, at the time I did, because I didn’t think I would ever meet anybody who wouldn’t- What’s the word? I used the word, I just thought about this last night. Not looked down on but feel superior to me because of the fact that I’m not one way or another in most people’s minds, and they have preconceived notions, whatever… But he was a catalyst. And I think that it was beautiful.”

Carey revealed that Jeter’s biracial family changed how she felt about her own.

“And they changed my viewpoint that ‘Oh, it’s because of the biracial situation that my family is so screwed up,’ as opposed to ‘it’s them.’ And yes, those things did play a huge part in their dysfunction. But it was healthy for me to see a functional family that basically kind of looked like mine, but didn’t feel like mine,” she admitted. “And he was also living his dream job and doing his dream job. I believe we connected in that way.”

Last month, Carey told Vulture in an interview that she wore a “buttery leather Chanel skirt” the first time she kissed Jeter.

“I can never forget that moment,” she explained. “I mean, it’s not like it was some intensely deep, intellectually stimulating — again, it was a great moment, and it happened in a divine way because it helped me get past living there, in Sing Sing, under those rules and regulations.”

Carey’s new book, which comes out at the end of this month, follows her “her meteoric rise to music superstardom” and the struggles she faced as a result.

“It took me a lifetime to have the courage and clarity to write my memoir. I want to tell the story of the moments,” Carey shared in a July post on Instagram. “The ups and downs, the triumphs and traumas, the debacles and the dreams that contributed to the person I am today.”

The Meaning of Mariah Carey will debut on shelves on Sept. 29.

Cardi B And Sister Sued Over Video Claiming To Show ‘Racist MAGA Supporters’

Cardi B and her sister are being sued for defamation of character after a viral video taken by Hennessy Carolina Almánzar. The video shows two men, one wearing a MAGA hat, and one woman telling Hennessy to move her car, which is parked on the beach.

Earlier this month, Cardi B shared a video taken by her sister showing a confrontation over where a car was parked.

Cardi B, who is notorious for having widely broadcast Twitter feuds with people, posted the video in response to a tweet from Candace Owens. Owens is a controversial conservative figure whose brand is all about shock and awe. Owens famously said she thinks it would be okay if “Hitler just wanted to make Germany great and have things run well.”

Immediately, there was skepticism about the incident since the video starts during the confrontation.

Responding to nay-sayers, Cardi B shared a video of her sisters voice messages sent to her IG DMs. Hennessy claims in the messages that the white men were the aggressors against her and her girlfriend while they were on the beach.

The videos did not convince some people that her sister wasn’t in the wrong.

Cardi B’s tweet is filled with responses questioning the video and denying its authenticity. The argument immediately turned political because of the mention of Trump and Trump supporters. The conversation on Twitter is divided among people who believe Cardi B and her sister and those who don’t.

Now, Cardi B and Hennessy are being sued by the beachgoers in the video.

“These peaceful Suffolk County residents were quietly enjoying a Sunday at the Smith Point beach with their families, when rap celebrity Hennessy Carolina suddenly approached them, raging, spitting, insulting, assaulting, defaming and threatening them, all the while videotaping them because one of them wore a MAGA hat,” beachgoers’ Miller Place attorney John Ray said, according to ABC7NYC.

The lawsuit claims defamation of character because of the language used in the video against them.

According to Billboard, plaintiffs Peter Caliendo, Pauline Caliendo, and Manuel Alarcon claim that they had approached Hennessy and her girlfriend, Michelle Diaz, blocked them in with how she parked her car. The lawsuit states that the men asked for Diaz to move her car and that’s when Hennessy started to record the video and hurl names and insults at them.

This story is developing and mitú will be updating as the story unfolds.
