If you’ve been watching “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” this week, you know that the talk show host has been doing shows from his hometown of Brooklyn, New York. The show, which is normally filmed in Los Angeles, is currently being shot at the famous BAM theater in Downtown Brooklyn. The Brooklyn Academy of Music, BAM for short, is a famous theater that has been in the area for well over a hundred years.

Jimmy Kimmel brought out Cardi B to perform her hit “Bodak Yellow” for his Brooklyn series.

Kimmel has been pulling all types of NYC talent to the show, so it was a no-brainer to bring the queen of the summer from her kingdom in the Bronx over to Brooklyn. I wonder if she took the 2/3 or A/C trains down to Barclay’s Center? Oh, right, she probably took her brand new orange Bentley.

Backstage, Cardi B was clearly pumped to be there.

She was excited AF to perform on Kimmel and it marked the first time she performed late night as a solo act, having only debuted for the first time a few weeks ago on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.” Cardi B and G-Eazy performed “No Limit,” a banger that also features A$AP Rocky.

Cardi B was ~ready~ for her first solo appearance on late night television.

Armed with an all-pink outfit — feather coat, shiny pants and pink shades — she came ready to rap in an outfit that summoned images of Brooklyn rapper Lil’ Kim in her heyday. Perhaps Cardi’s outfit was an homage to the rapper who set the stage in the 90’s for future female lyricists. Cardi has continuously shouted out female rappers Lil’ Kim and Nicki Minaj as inspirations, and many have returned the love as well.

Check out the video below for her full performance.

It might be the middle of October but Mariah Carey stays promoting Christmas. Really. She has some of the most recognizable Christmas-themed singles, including her standout version of “All I Want For Christmas Is You.” Now the pop diva has gifted the world and her “Lambily” a new Christmas single, “The Star,” from the forthcoming movie of the same name. The lyrics are what you might expect for a children’s song, but grown-up fans are falling over themselves to buy the single.

Mariah Carey assembled her “Lambily” and announced her new Christmas single with a surprise tweet.

That was it. Ten words, one hashtag, two Christmas emojis, and a link. That’s all Carey’s loyal fans needed to know to buy her new song.

Of course, hardcore Mariah fans are loving the track.

Is it a tad early? Yes. Does that matter to the Lambily? Definitely not.

For Mariah fans, the release of “The Star” has already put them in the mood for Christmas.

Only Mariah “Queen of Christmas” Carey can overshadow Halloween in October.

The hyperbole was very real.

Who knew that just one song could have so much power over one of the biggest holidays ever? Carey, that’s who.

But not everyone is excited for the song.

And everyone is entitled to their own opinions. No harm, no foul.

But, overall, the fans are here for Carey’s new holiday anthem.

The song has already made it into the iTunes charts for Thailand, Singapore, Spain, and Saudi Arabia.

You can listen to Carey’s new single on Spotify below.
