Cardi B Was Forced To Cancel Her Indianapolis Concert For Legitimate Concern Over A Violent Threat

I’m pretty sure all of our tias always told us that it’s better to be safe than sorry, and it’s definitely true. Especially if you’re a major celebrity where not playing safe could put thousands of people at risk.

So that’s exactly what Cardi B decided to do when it was discovered that someone made a threat against the ”Press” rapper.

Just minutes before her show in Indianapolis, Cardi B had to cancel it because of an “unverified threat” according to local police.

Due to an ‘unverified threat,’ according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the Grammy-winning rapper was advised to cancel her concert at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Tuesday—mere minutes before it was set to begin.

While the police department specified that ‘there is no immediate threat to public safety,’ Cardi’s show has been re-scheduled for September 11, and ticket holders for the evening’s event will be honored then.

Police confirmed the threat via Twitter.

According to Indianapolis Metropolitan Police, there was never an immediate threat or risk to the public. But they obviously found it credible enough to ask Cardi B to cancel her performance for the night.

Many found it suspicious that the threat against Cardi B comes in the wake of her speaking out about political positions and endorsing Bernie Sanders for President.

Many fans were not happy about the super last minute cancellation.

Most of her fans had already arrived to the venue and were totally ready for a night of “I Like It”, “Press”, and “Money”. So it’s understandable why people may be a bit upset – they were inconvenienced. But seriously people, come on. Safety first!

Cardi B posted an apology and proof that it wasn’t all a scam on her Twitter.

With all the hate she was getting, Cardi B came to Twitter to share a video of her rehearsing just hours before she had to cancel the night’s concert. Proof that she wasn’t sick or late or any other excuse that people were trying to throw at her.

Most people were really understanding and grateful for safety being put first.

And of course, safety comes first. Glad that most people were understanding the entire situation.

Some pointed out that if something did happen, she’d of been blamed for going on with the show.

So well said: “A concert date can be replaced, not lives.” It really is as simple as that. Sure if may suck to have your plans change but imagine if something had happened… Not only would it of been a huge tragedy but people would have blamed CArdi B for not having cancelled her show.

Though some people were basically accusing Cardi B of overreacting.

With all he hate that Cardi B gets – especially since she started speaking out about the Trump administration and endorsing Bernie Sanders – it’s not at all an overreaction to err on the side of safety.

Romeo Santos Streaming Historic MetLife Stadium Concert Next Month

Romeo Santos Streaming Historic MetLife Stadium Concert Next Month

For those who missed Romeo Santos’s historic MetLife Stadium concert in 2019, the king of bachata is going to release the show to streaming next month. The former Aventura frontman will also release a documentary on his meteoric rise.

Romeo Santos broke many records for his MetLife Stadium concert in 2019.

Starting with the announcement of his MetLife Stadium concert, Santos broke record after record. First, he became the first Latin artist to headline the massive New Jersey Stadium. After tickets went on sale, Santos became the first Latin artist to sell out the venue.  When the concert kicked off on Sept. 21, he then broke the record for the highest-grossing show in the stadium’s history. Before Romeo, the top-grossing record belonged to the Irish band U2.

Aventura and Cardi B joined Romeo Santos during that show.

Santos’ MetLife Stadium concert was not only historic for the records. The concert was also major for his reunion with Aventura. The guys came back together to perform “Inmortal” live from Santos’ Utopía album. That night Cardi B also joined Aventura to perform the band’s classic “Obsesión.”

Fans can see the MetLife Stadium show and a Romeo Santos documentary next month.

Santos is teaming up with Sony Music Latin, Endeavor Streaming, and iNDemand to release Romeo Santos: Utopía Live from MetLife Stadium on June 25. On the same night, Santos will also release his documentary Romeo Santos: The King of Bachata. Fans can buy their tickets to both pay-per-view events on his official website.

“These films have been such a special project for me and I’m honored and eager to show it to the world and pull back the curtain on the history of bachata,” Santos said in a statement. “For the film to showcase my upbringing and build up to my performance at MetLife Stadium, it gives me the opportunity to relieve one of the most incredible nights of my life while also bringing it inside the homes of my fans across the world.”

Guests appearing in the films include Daddy Yankee, Emilio Estefan, Marc Anthony, Tommy Mottola, and Thalía. It’s because of that iconic MetLife Stadium show that Santos is nominated for Latin Touring Artist of the Decade at this year’s Pollstar Awards.

Yes, Beyoncé Really Did Run Into Selena Quintanilla At A Mall Back In The Day

Yes, Beyoncé Really Did Run Into Selena Quintanilla At A Mall Back In The Day

Part 2 of Netflix’s “Selena: The Series,” is currently streaming, which means fans of the late Tejano singer are getting a chance to learn more about her origin stories. In the second part of the series, fans can expect to see more of the icon’s tragically brief but beautifully successful life. The new episodes chronicle Selena Quintanilla’s rise as a superstar and will no doubt make fans of the singer feel a deep sense of love for her.

Particularly when it comes to one episode in particular!

Part 2’s episode 6, called “Lo Más Bello,” sees the lives of two superstars collide.

The endearing episode sees Selena, played by Christian Serratos, on a shopping trip to an outdoor mall with her mother and sister. It’s then that the young singer catches the eye of a young girl who is also with her mother and sister.

Perhaps it’s real seeing real, but in either case in this episode, the young girl stops to gaze at Selena. She’s star-struck. In the episode, the young girl’s mother asks who she’s looking at and the girl replies, “Selena, a famous singer. Be quiet!”

Knowing that her daughter is a singer herself, the mother encourages her to introduce herself. Of course, the young girl is too shy to say hello but she does wave.

When Selena walks away, the young girl’s mother reveals a fun twist when she says “Beyoncé Knowles, you better learn not to be afraid of people if you ever want to be famous too.”

Like we said…

Real recognizing real.

“Selena: The Series” / Netflix

While it might seem like the producers took creative liberty, it turns out they actually didn’t. And it makes sense. Fans of Selena and Beyoncé know that the two singers are Texan-icons.

In a recent interview for MTV Trés, Beyoncé revealed that she actually did see Selena, in the Galleria Mall in Houston. “I didn’t say much to Selena because I wasn’t a celebrity,” Beyoncé said in an interview for MTV Trés back in the day. “I just saw her and said hello and kept it moving. Definitely growing up in Texas I heard her on the radio, and I think listening to her album, even though I didn’t know exactly what she was saying, it helped me in the studio with my pronunciation.”

Fans of the Texan starlets might also remember how Beyonce, in a 2007 interview with People en Español, spoke about her love of Selena.

At the time, Beyoncée was celebrating her re-release of six Spanish-language tracks. “I listened to Selena all the time” she recalled at the time of the interview. “She’s close to me because of where I’m from.”

Both “Selena: The Series” Parts 1 and 2 are streaming right now on Netflix! Check them out!
