So how did the couple come up with this interesting name? Well, Offset’s real name is Kiari Cephus. So what about the Kulture? The couple have yet to fully disclose the reasoning behind the name, here’s some easy clues as to why they named their baby girl Kulture.

For starters, Migos — Offset’s rap group — have a couple of albums titled Culture I and Culture II. And the rest of Offset’s offspring also have names that start with a K including son Kody and daughter Kalea.

People on social media were definitely happy to hear Cardi B had given birth.

It seemed like homegirl had been pregnant forever!

But when it came to the baby name, well people weren’t sure what to make of it.

It was definitely a stop-the-presses kind of moment.

We knew the name wouldn’t be a typical sounding name, but Kulture?

Did they come up with that on the spot?

Some people thought the name sounded like it could be a curse.

It can’t be that bad.

Harry Potter fans may like it though.

Grab your wand and see what happens.

The name is already creating urban legends.

I wouldn’t mess with this.

Yes, it’s okay to take a moment and think about it for a while.

Normally we would just freak out, but perhaps it’s a name that we have to sit with.

Please don’t tell Kris Jenner because she may charge them for the name.

The who Kardashian family is quaking in unison.

Let this serve as a small reminder: Cardi B and Offset have unique names as well.

Okay, it’s all starting to make sense now.

It will take a while to get used to it, but give us time!

Congrats to the couple, and welcome to this krazy world, Kulture!

Cardi B and Mariah Carey Teamed Up to Talk About Confidence, Insecurity, and Prejudice in the Music Industry

At first glance, you may not think Cardi B and Mariah Carey have much in common. But the two chart-topping divas might actually be more similar than they are different.

Cardi B once called herself the “strip-club Mariah Carey”, so Interview magazine recruited the Afro-Venezuelan songstress herself to interview Belcalis.

In a new conversation in Interview magazine, Cardi B and Mariah Carey teamed up to talk about the challenges they’ve had to face as famous women of color coming from tough backgrounds.

And in case you thought otherwise, Mariah Carey was not throwing any softballs. The conversation was intense. The women covered everything from confidence, to body image, to prejudice in the music industry. It didn’t seem like either of the women held back.

Mimi opened the interview by asking Cardi if she ever felt beautiful as a child. Surprisingly, Cardi responded opened up about a topic that society doesn’t take about very often: anti-Blackness in the Latino community.

“I’m Trini and I’m Dominican, there’s a lot of Dominicans that look a certain type of way [in the Bronx]. They have soft, pretty, curly hair. Growing up, guys would ask me weird questions like, ‘If you’re Dominican, why is your hair so nappy?'”

Cardi went on to admit that she bleached and permed her hair when she was young to the point where she damaged her hair. But she soon learned to take care of her natural hair and appreciate it for what it was.

Cardi’s confession about her hair prompted Mariah to reveal her own vulnerable story. “It was a very traumatizing thing for me having a black father and a white mother, because my mother, who raised me, didn’t really know about textured hair,” Mariah said.

The superstar duo also touched on the sensitive topics of racism and prejudice in the music and fashion industries.

In fact, MC point-blank asked Cardi B: “Do you feel that the record industry or the fashion industry, from your perspective, is inherently racist?”. Cardi explained that she wouldn’t technically use the word racist, but has “felt prejudice.”

“I have been involved in endorsement deals, and then I found out that certain white people got more money for their deals from the same company,” she said. “So it’s like, ‘When you’re not paying me what you’re paying these other people, why is that?’ It’s kind of insulting.”

Cardi also added that Black artists have a tougher time getting dressed by designers and getting seats at fashion shows, even though hip-hop culture influences fashion in so many ways.

Cardi B and Mariah Carey then bonded over the fact that both of them could only be themselves throughout their careers in the public eye.

Mariah applauded the fact that the public doesn’t require celebrities to have a squeaky-clean image anymore. “I do think people are much more accepting now,” she said. “…I do feel like people are, at least in some circles, allowed to be themselves and express themselves more than they were back in the day.”

“People expected me to be something specific, but I can only be me,” she added. “We’re similar in that way.”

Wilmer Valderrama Welcomes a Baby Girl With His Fiancée, Amanda Pacheco: ‘It’s Just Us Three Now’

It’s a girl! Wilmer Valderrama took to his Instagram on Sunday to announce some joyous news: he is now a father.

The prolific actor/activist shared a picture of himself and his fiancée, Amanda Pacheco, looking both tired and happy with their new baby girl in their arms.

“Life is an ever evolving journey, and for all those times when our path needs a light,” he wrote beneath his post. “Often angels are sent to show us the way and that we can be more. Straight out of heaven we welcome our first daughter.”

He topped off the caption with the hashtag, “#ItsJustUs3Now”–a full-circle reference to what he wrote under their engagement announcement. Back then, he wrote: “It’s just us now.”

The birth comes just nine weeks after the couple announced via Instagram that they had a baby on the way.

Back in December, Valderrama posted a stunning photo of himself and his visibly pregnant fiancée to his Instagram. Just last month, he teased his followers with the baby’s gender reveal. He then posted an adorable video of the gender reveal party to his Instagram page. He and Pacheco would be having a girl.

Friends and colleagues took to the comment section of the baby announcement post to offer the new parents their warm wishes.

“Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!! Im soooo happy for you both!!! Love u!” wrote his friend and occasional collaborator, Eva Longoria. “Ahhhhhh CONGRATS my friend!!!!!” wrote actress. Gabrielle Union.

According to reports, Valderrama and Pacheco started dating in early 2019 and were engaged by the end of the year. And although the two have not officially tied the knot yet, they appear to be very much in love.

In fact, Pacheco penned a touching love letter that beautifully described her relationship with Valderrama and posted it to Instagram.

The letter was addressed to Pacheco’s late mother, who passed away from ovarian cancer. The post was a tribute to her mother’s birthday–which happens to be the same as her new daughter’s: February 15th.

“Every time I talk about him, I can see your giant smile light up in my mind, and I can hear your mischievous laugh, like you knew he was going to come into my life and change it forever,” she wrote.

“I have faith in an everlasting love, I believe in marriage and alll the things I was terrified to do without you HERE, like start a family without your guidance every step of the way. I have the most incredibly perfect partner in life to do it all with now, AND I’m excited and ANXIOUS for it all!”
