Breakups Are Messy, J.Lo’s Aftershocks Felt In Drake’s New Album “More Life”

In an album bursting with dope features, one anticipated voice was missing, but her presence was felt throughout: Jennifer Lopez.

In “Free Smoke” the first song of the 22-track album, which dropped on OVO Sound radio this Saturday, Drake raps: “I drunk text J.Lo/ Old number, so it bounce back.” Ouch.

‘Twas only a few weeks ago when everyone was like “¿Qué qué?” when Drake popped up in romantically-lit photos with Queen of the Bronx, Jennifer Lopez.

Look who rolled up to my show tonight to say hi!! @champagnepapi #lovehim #jlovegas #ALLIHAVE

You’d be smiling that hard, too, if your teenage crush turned around and made you their #MCM.

They shared lovey-dovey smirks in a two-person sweater-blanket bathed in the light of a fireplace made by angels.

But if he only knew what the future held, *he* might have held on tighter.

And fans declared them “Prom King and Queen of Pop,” as we watched them dance quinceañera-style in what looked like a music video shoot.

I hope footage of this party ends up in a future music video, where he’s watching old home movies and crying into his hot cocoa.

In this video, the once-couple is dancing to the new hot track “Get It Together,” with what sounds a lot like Jennifer Lopez vocals.

The album version however, features, Jorja Smith doing a beautiful job, hitting some real silky notes. Did Drake get salty and cut J.Lo off the album after seeing her with Alex Rodriguez?

The most obvious nod to J.Lo is a song using the chorus of her hit “If You Had My Love.” The new song is titled “Teenage Fever,” which is appropriate if you consider teenage Drake watched her rise to stardom.

Seems like she’s always had a big impact on his life. Poor #Draque.

Now all we’re left with are the ‘what ifs.’

Ben Affleck & Marc Anthony Spoke Frankly About J.LO And My Nostalgic Aughts-Self Is Giving A Toast

No doubt, as the Latina Queen of Hollywood, Jennifer Lopez has played the better half of quite a few relationships and not just on-screen. From Diddy, formerly known as Puff Daddy and P Diddy, to Casper Smart Lopez has been The Strong Woman behind some pretty well-known men.

Her exes Marc Anthony (whom J.L o shares twins Emme and Max, 13 with) and Ben Affleck know it, and in a recent interview, they opened up about what they really think of her.

For her recent May cover of InStyle magazine, Lopez’s feature story included insights from her former loves Anthony and Affleck on everything from her drive to her ageless beauty.

In honor of the singer and actor’s 30-year run in the entertainment industry, the magazine featured her and her most prolific exes. For the interview, both Anthony and Affleck commented on Lopez’s character, heart, and business savvy. “The thing about Jennifer is her ability to see and understand things before they happen,” Anthony, explained in his interview.

Anthony, a singer and actor who starred in the 2001 film In the Time of the Butterflies was married to Lopez from 2004 to 2014.

“Before she even brings an idea up, she has visualized it a thousand times. And if anyone says it might not be the greatest idea, she’ll say, ‘You just don’t see it yet.’ Nine times out of 10, she’ll nail it. She’s the first one in the room and the last to leave. The hardest worker I’ve ever met,” Anthony went onto share. “When we were together, it was quite the opposite for me. That has changed since. I learned so much from her. She’s the original!”

Affleck who dated J.LO in 2002 and starred alongside her in the films “Gigli” and “Jersey Girl” also spoke openly about Lopez.

“I thought I had a good work ethic, but I was completely humbled and blown away by what she was committed to doing day in and day out, the seriousness in which she took her work, the quiet and dedicated way she went about accomplishing her goals, and then how she would go back and redouble her efforts,” Affleck, whose romance with Lopez earned him the other part of the nickname “Bennifer” by the media, explained.

“She remains, to this day, the hardest-working person I’ve come across in this business,” he revealed, “She has great talent, but she has also worked very hard for her success, and I’m so happy for her that she seems, at long last, to be getting the credit she deserves.”

At one point Affleck commented, relatably, that he felt J.Lo appeared as if she hadn’t aged since they dated.

“Where are you keeping the fountain of youth? Why do you look the same as you did in 2003 and it kind of looks like I’m in my 40s…at best?” he joked.

Jennifer Lopez And Matthew McConaughey Honor The 20th Anniversary Of ‘The Wedding Planner’

2001. A year of quite a lot of big events and don’t fans of The Wedding Planner know it!

Twenty years ago the beloved romantic comedy starring Jennifer Lopez as a cynical but ambitious wedding planner and Matthew McConaughey the engaged doctor with who she falls in love with.

Twenty years later and of course we needed a reunion to celebrate.

Fortunately, the leading stars reunited for a virtual screening of the 20th anniversary of the hit film.

During an Instagram Live event, the two actors reunited to wax nostalgia about their iconic romantic comedy from their respective homes. During the sweet gathering, Lopez and McConaughey talked about all things related to that time including their kissing scenes. Recalling one kissing moment in particular, Lopez said to McConaughey “You said, ‘Miss Lopez, I’m going to kiss you now.’ And I said, ‘OK, let’s do it. Let’s hit it.'”

Speaking about the movie’s impact on their career they both admitted that they’ve been lucky.

“When you do these movies… we’ve been lucky enough to continue doing what we love,” Lopez explained. “There are certain moments that always stick out in your head.”

“I so enjoyed working with you,” Lopez added. “We had such a nice rapport and chemistry. We were somewhat at the beginning of our careers at that time. It was exciting to be working on any movie. I still feel that way. It was a magical time. I’m such a romantic too that working on those types of movies have a real feel for me.”

Sweetly, McConaughey praised Lopez for her talent and ambition.

“You prepare so well for everything you do. I love your intentionality, I love how deliberate you are. You would have it down, you love the choreography. I love your deliberation, and the preparation you have,” he added before lamenting the fall of romcoms. “In a way, [The Wedding Planner] was the last of the rom-coms,” McConaughey said. “The rom-com doesn’t get made anymore.”

Lopez was quick to point out that she’s worked hard to ensure that rom-coms don’t die altogether. “I wanna know there’s a happily ever after, I wanna know that. Even though we know we’ve lived through a tough year, miracles still happen, love prevails, things can go right, for sure.”
