Shakira’s New Music Video, ‘Perro Fiel,’ Is Bringing Back The Style Of Shakira From The Early 2000’s
Everything about this video has Shakira written all over it.
After teasing her fans for over a month, Shakira has finally released the music video to her song ‘Perro Fiel,’ featuring Reggaeton artist Nicky Jam. Despite her recent collaborations with multiple reggaeton artists, including Nicky Jam, Maluma and Prince Royce, Shakira never fails to leave a touch of her unique style in every music video. You see this Shakira touch especially in ‘Perro Fiel,’ where Shakira appears in three very nostalgic styles: 1. Wearing a red leather dress, with a sleek, long braid and red lipstick. 2. Dripping in gold from head to toe with long blonde hair. 3. Long red hair, wearing a black crop top, with black bottoms and a black hat. The first look gives you similar vibes to Shakira’s ‘Hay Amores’ music video from 2008, in which she appears in a classy red dress and lipstick. The second look takes you back to Shakira’s 2005 hit, ‘La Tortura,’ a music video in which Shakira is also drenched from head to toe, but in black paint instead of gold. Lastly, the third look throws it back to Shakira’s 1999 music video for ‘Ojos Así,’ in which she rocked her long red hair and also wore a crop top. Even though Shakira’s music has changed and evolved over time, her signature style and character always remains no matter what genre of music she experiments with.
