The classic children’s book “Ferdinand,” as most of us know, is about a bull living in Spain who decides to live a different kind of life. Doing away with the stereotypes of bulls he chooses to live peacefully, taking his time to smell the flowers. The book deals with themes of stereotypes, peer pressure and isolation. It’s a very mature book for a children’s story. Well, get ready, because it has been turned into an animated film!

The benevolent bull is voiced by WWE star John Cena.
The film’s cast is full of Latinos, like TV star Gina Rodriguez.
Rodriguez is playing Una, a hedgehog who gives Ferdinand some good advice.
The actors were excited to share on social media that they’re lending their voices to the film.
Beloved stand up comedian Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias is excited to be working with John Cena, the only other person he says wears jean shorts anymore.
Co-host of “Despierta América,” Karla Martínez gets in on the action, too.
“Dreams do come true,” says Martínez of being cast in the film.
“Sense 8” star Miguel Ángel Silvestre will play the bullfighter that peaceful Ferdinand eventually is forced to go up against.
