Alessia Cara Makes Her Spanish Debut With New Single Alongside The One And Only Juanes

There’s nothing we love more than a good summer tune. So as summer is around the corner, two of our favorite artists have partnered up and delivered a sweet and velvety ballad that will caress your deepest desires. The emotions from the two singers on this song will change your very being. Fans already can’t get enough of this song and the love pouring from fans is something all artists want to feel.

Juanes and Alessia Cara debuted a new Spanish song called “Querer Mejor.”

The beautiful love pop ballad includes a really cool music video as well.

This is not the first time these two artists have joined forces. Two years ago, Juanes did the Spanish version of Logic’s song “1-800-273-8255” at the Latin Grammys alongside Logic and Cara.

The song also marks Cara’s Spanish singing debut.

While the Canadian singer isn’t Latina, her Spanish is on point.

Here’s the chorus:

Te siento cerca cuando estamos lejos
Porque te llevo aquí en mi corazón
No sé perderme de tu amor
Quizá mañana cuando estemos viejos
Y se nos arrugue un poco el corazón
Sabré querer mejor.

The song also reminds us of Juanes’ other duet with another Canadian singer Nelly Furtado.

The pair had a hit single with the 2002 track “Fotografía” and the video is also similar to “Querer Mejor.” Juanes is clearly after a specific aesthetic and storyline with each collab. The stories aren’t totally the same but the emotion and the eventual meeting of the two artists are the same in both music videos.

The song has already been streamed more than 10 million times.

Good thing Juanes is able to bring non-Latino artists into the Spanish0-language world. Latin music is having a Renaissance moment and everyone is getting on board. Juanes just seems to have a way of bringing people you wouldn’t expect to the Latin music audience and it is magnificent.

Cara’s Spanish skills have people all over social media talking about the collab.

Music is truly a universal language. It might be in a different language than then one you speak but the emotional expression in the song is something that everyone can pick up on.

We never pictured these two artists together, but it makes so much sense.

“Working with Juanes and being invited into his world has genuinely been such an honor,” Cara said, according to People magazine. “I’ve always loved Latin music, so getting to dabble in that realm with such a legend is pretty amazing.”

Fans are truly over the moon with excitement about this collab.

A perfect match.

Quarantine just got a little easier.

In a recent post to their Instagram pages, rappers Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion confirmed that they are dropping a new collaboration that we didn’t see coming.

And it’s one that we all could most certainly use right now.

In a post to her Instagram page, Cardi B announced that she’s collaborating with Megan Thee Stallion on a new song called “WAP.”

The new song is the first lead track from Cardi since she dropped “Press” in 2019. Earlier this year in March, Megan dropped her album “Suga.”

“WAP” drops this Friday and by the looks of the song’s cover art, it’s gonna be quite the hit. Or at least be very taste? Megan and Cardi can be seen posing for the cover art wearing matching “WAP” gold hoops and with their hair woven in together into one bun. To top it off, their tongues are sticking out like they’re ready to rock.

The latest pairing is a follow up to Megan’s recent power couple collab for “Savage” with Beyoncé. It also her newest song since her recent recovery from a gunshot wound.

Earlier last month, Megan revealed that she was shot in both of her feet.

Speaking about the shooting, which happened on July 12, Megan said “I see… a lot of people that have been very supportive and sending prayers, and I just really appreciate that” she said during the live stream. “I saw the hotties doing a lot of things, like writing letters on Tumblr and DMing me all the time, and I just want to say thank y’all so much, because y’all have really been the ones helping me get through this.”

“I was shot in both of my feet,” she explained. “I had to get surgery to get the bullets taken out. And it was super scary… Thank God that the bullets didn’t touch bones; they didn’t break tendons. I know my momma or my daddy, my granny, had to be looking out for me with that one because where the bullets hit at it missed everything.”

Of course, Cardi B and Megan fans were quick to flip.

Literally we’re all pumped.

Girl groups are uniting.

And we’re all ready for it to reach #1.

And we all have questions about what WAP is supposed to mean?

It’s all a mystery but we’re here for the guesses.

“WAP” drops this week on August 7, this Friday.

Premios Juventud 2020 is not going virtual, like most other major events. Instead, the awards show is going to be held in-person but with a virtual audience. Here’s who you can expect to take the stage this year.

The Premios Juventud 2020 is going on as planned, just with a virtual audience.

The awards show is celebrating its 20th year this year and the show is going on. The show is being aired from Miami, one of the worst-hit areas in the country for Covid-19, but the show promises to follow all safety standards based on local health guidelines. Here are some of the people you can expect to perform.

Natanael Cana

Cana will be giving corridos tumbados some massive exposure at the awards show. The genre of music is an exciting mix of corridos with trap and urban influences. The sound is something else and fans are excited to see the genre given some love on the stage.

CNCO

The boy band CNCO has become a beloved addition to Latin music. The group was formed after the first season of “La Banda,” a music competition show looking for the hottest new sound. Safe to say that the show’s judges did a good job putting this group together.

Rafa Pabön

Pabön is a major voice of Conciencia Collective and Black Lives Matter. The musician released a song called “Sine Aire” after the George Floyd protests that brought Black Lives Matter to the forefront of American culture. Conciencia Collective hosts weekly talks with We Are Mitú promoting advocacy in the music industry.

And, of course, host Sebastián Yatra.

Yatra will be joined on stage with Danna Paola to perform their duet “No Bailes Sola.” The awards show will definitely be a nice escape from our collective Covid reality. There might not be any fans at the show but the performers are all ready to give a great show to the virtual audience.
