When Selena Gomez’s “Bad Liar” video dropped earlier this month, fans talked about how effortlessly she played the teenage version of herself. The Key of Awesome, a sketch team from YouTube, decided to poke some fun at Gomez’s youthful appearance in their latest parody sketch: Selena Gomez “Writes” A New “Song”!

In the sketch, an aging music producer can’t deal with Gomez’s appearance, “It’s just that you look 12!”

The older music producer takes in a few bars of Gomez’s sexy track before stopping her to say, “You seem quite young. Are you sure this is appropriate?” Gomez fires back, “I’m not here to make you feel comfortable.” Things continue to go downhill, or uphill, depending on your perspective, when Gomez hits the chorus with a series of “sex noises,” which makes the old “cisgender white male” producer even more uncomfortable.

The tired music producer asks Gomez to prove she’s old enough to sing this kind of track.

Not sure if this identification is legit. She’s holding a lollipop in the photo and under “sex” it just says, “yes.”

Unfortunately, the actress they got to play Gomez looked a lot different than the real thing.

Gomez has a really unique look, though, so not really a big deal. There is a whole Instagram account dedicated to Gomez look-a-likes, btw.

The Key of Awesome nailed the Bruno Mars look-a-like in their parody of “That’s What I Like.”

Unlike the person they got to play Selena Gomez in their recent sketch, this Bruno Mars – played by Young Bruno – is as good as the real deal.

So, here’s a question for the Selenators out there:
